    Legal Cashier Salisbury, Wiltshire Temporary (12 months maternity cover)
    We are looking for an experienced Legal Cashier to join our friendly team in Salisbury on a 12 month temporary contract to cover maternity leave from July 2025.
    Role & Responsibilities  The main focus of the role will be to oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the Accounts department, ensuring the smooth running of all cashiering duties. This includes managing the accounting system, billing, credit control, client balance management. You will handle account processing alongside our Junior Legal Cashier, manage client payments via online banking, and ensure that the firm meets all SRA and other regulatory requirements. This is a 4 day a week position, with salary based on experience. • Reconciling bank statements • Processing supplier payments • Posting client and office transactions • Setting up CHAPS and BACS payments • Checking completion statements • Managing petty cash transactions • Month-end processing • Managing payroll, liaising with our accountants regarding hours, new starters, and PAYE/NI • Reconciling the partners credit card expenses • Preparing VAT reports • Creating and apportioning invoices
    Skills & Experience • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an accounts department of a law firm • Strong understanding of legal finance, Solicitors Accounts Rules, SRA and regulatory compliance • Excellent numeracy, communication, and time management skills • Ability to work effectively under pressure • High level of accuracy and attention to detail • Strong IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Office (especially Excel) • Experience with One Advanced ALB would be an advantage

    Conveyancing Legal Secretary Salisbury, Wiltshire Permanent – Full-time
    A position has become available for a Conveyancing Legal Secretary in our property department in our Salisbury office. 
    Role & Responsibilities  The role will suit an experienced and efficient Conveyancing Legal Secretary.  You will need to be hardworking with a positive attitude and enjoy working as part of a team. You will be able to thrive in a pressurised environment; reacting to changing deadlines and priorities in a professional manner.
    This is a full-time position.  Salary dependent upon experience.  • Deal with day-to-day Conveyancing administration • Typing dictated letters, contracts, leases and other documentation • Answering and making calls to clients, other solicitors, mortgage lenders and estate agents • Giving quotations for routine transactions • Preparation of post-exchange and post-completion documentation • Preparing and submitting SDLT returns and Land Registry applications.  • Experience dealing with conveyancing matters, in particular post-exchange and post-completion documentation  • Completing Local Authority and other relevant pre-exchange searches • Opening and dealing with the initial stages of Conveyancing transaction • Liaising directly with clients to manage expectations and provide updates on progress of cases
    Skills & Experience • Audio typing skills • Proactive • Good communication skills • Excellent IT skills • 2 years’ experience in a Conveyancing role
