    Technical Support Manager Location: Leicester Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Department: Technical / Commercial About the Role We are recruiting for an experienced Technical Support Manager to join a well-established FMCG manufacturing business in Leicester. This is a varied and commercially focused technical role, responsible for supporting the development, launch and ongoing production of both new and existing product ranges. You will manage the full New Product Development and Existing Product Development process, ensuring products are launched on time, meet customer expectations and comply with all relevant technical, quality and regulatory requirements. The role will involve working closely with the Technical Director, Sales, Quality, Operations and wider group functions. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the full New Product Development and Existing Product Development process. Ensure projects and product launches are delivered within agreed customer timescales. Create, review and maintain accurate customer product specifications. Manage chemical, packaging and raw material specifications. Review and approve product artwork against technical and regulatory requirements. Coordinate product trials, pre-launch testing and packaging validation. Conduct competitor product analysis and communicate relevant findings to internal teams. Support the preparation of technical documentation for cosmetic products. Ensure chemical documentation meets relevant ethical accreditation requirements. Work closely with site and group quality teams to maintain consistent quality standards. Support the preparation and completion of internal and external audits. Conduct and document metal detector validation for new products. Maintain complete and traceable raw material documentation. Respond to technical customer queries within agreed timescales. Identify opportunities to improve products, processes and technical procedures. Essential Requirements Previous experience working within an FMCG environment. GCSE grade C/4 or above in English and Maths, or an equivalent qualification. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate work. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate confidently with customers and colleagues at all levels. Strong organisational and project-management skills. A proactive, solution-focused approach. Ability to manage multiple product-development projects and deadlines. Flexible, adaptable and comfortable working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Strong commitment to quality, customer satisfaction and continuous improvement. Desirable Experience Experience working with chemicals or chemical-based products. Experience within a highly regulated manufacturing environment. Knowledge of cosmetic product regulations. Familiarity with BRC non-food standards. Understanding of ethical or industry accreditations. Previous involvement in technical or quality audits. A recognised audit qualification. Experience managing product specifications, packaging documentation or product artwork.
