My client based in Market Rasen, Lincolnshire requires a Grass Drying Operative to work in their grass processing facility, helping to convert freshly cut grass into dried products such as animal feed, pellets, or protein-rich feed ingredients. The role involves operating machinery, monitoring production processes, carrying out quality checks, and maintaining a safe working environment. The hours of work are 7am to 7pm Monday to Thursday and 7am to 5pm Friday in Harvest hours. Out of Harvest Hours the weeks runs 7am to 4pm. Monday to Thursday and 7am to 3pm Friday. The hourly rate is 12.91 per hour, with over time after 40 hours per week. The Role Purpose To operate and monitor grass drying equipment and associated machinery, ensuring efficient production of high-quality dried grass products while maintaining health, safety, and environmental standards. Key Responsibilities Operate grass drying, handling, and processing equipment. Monitor drying temperatures, moisture levels, and production parameters. Load raw materials and move finished products using appropriate equipment. Conduct routine quality checks on incoming grass and finished products.
