    • Check safety equipment and report any defect to management.

    • Supervise the centre facilities and centre users to ensure the general safety and good behaviour of the public to prevent injury, misuse and damage.
    • Patrol all areas of the centre to ensure all facilities are being used in the correct manner.
    • Carry out cleaning duties inside and outside the centre in accordance with Health & Safety and the establishment procedures.
    • Maintain storage areas in a clean and tidy condition and in accordance with store plans.
    • Set out and clear away equipment in a timely and safe manner.
    • Maintain up to date records in accordance with legislative and BAM FM requirements.
    • Administer bookings, including taking bookings and payments.
    • Cash handling and securing money for banking.
    • Carry out routine building checks and completion of relevant documentation.

    • Identifying and selecting the appropriate techniques and sequence of events for each project.
    • Analysing sites and local environments to determine appropriate logistics solutions and resources.
    • Using specialist planning computer software, including Synchro or similar.
    • Preparing logistics plans and phasing layouts, using PowerPoint; ability to model in 3D would be an advantage, but not essential.
    • Writing method statements.
    • Scheduling labour, selecting of major plant and access equipment including scaffold schedules, tower crane utilisation and temporary works.
    • Attending and presenting at client interviews.
    • Preparing detailed working programmes.

    • Helping to implement and provide general planning appreciation and awareness to site teamsWho are we looking for? • Appropriately trained and knowledgeable in Health and Safety (e.g. CSCS, SMSTS)
    • An energetic, proactive, hands-on, confident, and self-motivated approach with experience in a similar role
    • Demonstrable experience in contract and tender planning with an ability to take the lead in the programme and time management of construction projects
    • Experience within the construction environment of project delivery across a wide range of market sectors with a good understanding of high-quality finishes and M&E interfaces.
    • Demonstrable experience in tenders and contracts administered under JCT and NEC forms of contract.
    • Understanding of Planning best practices
    • Ideally Degree qualified, minimum qualification to HNC, HND level.
    • Experience in using Powerproject, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word; SketchUp and Synchro would be an advantage.
    • Knowledge in MS Project and Primavera P6 (preferred but not essential).
    • Knowledge and practice in 3D/4D modelling (preferred but not essential).
    • Good communication skills and the ability to work within a team environment or as an individual.

    Building a sustainable tomorrow BAM FM is recruiting a Building Technician to work alongside a team of specialised technicians based out of Derbyshire Police Headquarters  providing a fully encompassing service delivery plan for our client. Working 40 Hours per week Monday - Friday between the hours of 8.00am - 5.00pm (flexible shift pattern). You will also be required to be on the on call rota. This position requires you to be police vetted prior to start.Your mission In conjunction with common roles the Building Technician will have full responsibility for the Building fabric status of the site and carry out planned maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance tasks as they occur across the site.
    • Extensive knowledge and experience with building fault finding
    • Carry out ceiling repair, painting, skirting and facing replacement, door servicing and refurbishment of FF&E equipment.
    • Ability to read, understand and diagnose building faults utilising existing experience to identify failures in cladding and interface junctions between building fabric elements.
    • Identify spare parts to carry out repairs and order through appropriate channels.
    • Carry out water hygiene testing (Training provided)
    • Carry out fire door inspections (Training provided)
    • Carry out installation and service and repair works to FF&E appliances in accordance manufactures guidelines.
    • Ability to inspect and carryout reactive landscape maintenance tasks in accordance with the project agreement including litter picking. 
    • Carry out building fabric inspections and fault finding building fabric issues.
    • Liaison and supervision of subcontractors in relation to method statement risk assessment and safe execution of works.

    • Ability to read contract documentation including as-built drawings, schedules and specifications.Who are we looking for? • Recognised trade qualification.
    • Time served tradesmen. 
    • Training in or experience of General H&S Regulations.

Travel will be required for this position.Reporting directly to the Managing Surveyor, you will have direct responsibility for the successful commercial management of the MEPH aspects of the project, working pro-actively and collaboratively as an integral member of both the site and wider Client team.Making Possible Timely procurement and commercial management of subcontract / supply chain, including:
    • Ensuring subcontractor / supply chain compliance / competency with both Business and specific project requirements prior to issue of any tender enquiry
    • Agreement of specific Work Package scope of works and the preparation of all relevant documentation for formal subcontract / supply chain enquiries / procurement.
    • Procurement negotiations, including agreement of S/C / supply chain terms and conditions
    • Analysis / reconciliation of returned tenders and the preparation of the final subcontract recommendation
    • Producing and issuing out robust and relevant subcontract / supply chain order documentation in a timely manner
    • Commercial responsibility throughout the project on all matters relating to MEPH subcontract work packages, all relevant supply chain matters and material orders.Project delivery:
    • Working closely and collaboratively with the Project manager, and the rest of the team, to ensure the successful delivery and financial outcome of the project.
    • Involvement in the development of design and procurement strategies to maximise opportunities and minimise / mitigate risks.
    • Involvement in identifying key project risks and opportunities, together with risk mitigation strategy’s.
    • Production of Monthly and Quarterly Cost Reports including project margin projections and cashflow forecasts.
    • Ensuring compliance with Business requirements and Best Practice procedures.
    • Production of monthly valuations and agreement with client representatives. 
    • Measurement, valuation and negotiation of Client Variations.
    • Preparation and negotiation of Project Final Accounts.
