    What you'll be doing:

    Leading commercial bids and proposals through to completion of suitable Contract
    Actively participate in Business Winning, including contributing to the development of commercial proposals for potential business and the commercial review of the full suite of proposal documents
    Leading the Request for Bid Approval (RBA) and Contract Award (CA) process
    Leading the negotiation of commercial issues and ensuring acceptable business agreements and contracts

    Your skills and experiences:

    Essential:

    Proven experience in the Space sector
    Expertise in new business development and contract negotiations
    Skilled in drafting and managing large, complex contracts
    Solid grasp of cross-functional collaboration, engaging with Engineering, Finance, and related departments

    Desirable:

    Familiarity with the Defence sector

    What you'll be doing: Ensure safe systems of work are carried out Read/Interpret Mechanical/Pipe Drawings Pipe fabrication from 8mm to 323mm in different types of material Taking wires and setting to boards Braze both silver and soft solder to class 1 standards Test pipework on completion of manufacture Install pipework into various systems Your skills and experiences: A sound knowledge of all pipework systems and materials including connectors, adaptors, couplings, and fastenings is essential as is the ability to braze to required standards, class A deep understanding of all domestic plumbing within a ship environment, removal and installation The ability to weld, (TIG, MMA) would be beneficial but not essential, as would be the ability to work with and install composite pipework What we offer:

    The Manufacturing Team has developed into a stable and well-functioning unit operating on a 3 shift rotating system of 37 hours per week. There are opportunities for overtime which has a 25% enhancement in the week and a 60% enhancement on the weekend above base rate.

    Job Title: Mechanical Platform Systems Engineer

    Location: Barrow-in-Furness. This position will require full time on site presence

    What you'll be doing: Developing the package of design evidence required to justify a safe, effective design and generate customer confidence in the design solution Specifying and assisting in the build of prototypes, products and systems suitable for testing Providing timely corrective actions on all assigned defects and issues Ensuring that commitments are agreed, reviewed and met Mentoring junior engineers regarding technical matters Making presentations effectively to technical and management audiences and within this, be able to identify and keep abreast of novel technical concepts and markets Author/co-author technical reports, papers, articles, patents and presentations as required Your skills and experiences: Educated to Degree level in Engineering, Mechanical or Science Subjects Be able to design documentation with the ability to present these to customers and wider groups Have an Engineering Lifecycle background Be proficient in CAD, MS Office and be comfortable with other IT applications Benefits:
