    The role
    As an Engineering Analyst, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll drive best practices in nuclear engineering and work with senior stakeholders across Naval and Civil Nuclear sectors, leading improvements and implementing engineering management arrangements to enhance industry standards.

    Day-to-day, you'll drive engineering excellence in the Nuclear Sector. This role focuses on advancing sector-wide engineering maturity, implementing engineering management arrangements and the engineering framework. You'll play a crucial role in shaping the future of engineering, sharing best practices, and overcoming key challenges to ensure readiness for future demands.

    Essential experience of the Engineering Analyst

    Qualifications for the Engineering Analyst
    • Degree level or higher in a STEM discipline.

    The role
    As a Senior Engineering Manager, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. Join a cutting-edge submarine design and build programme, shaping the future of the UK's naval fleet. This role offers the opportunity to be at the forefront of replacing the Astute Class Nuclear Submarine, contributing to advanced maritime innovation and engineering excellence.

    Day-to-day, you'll drive Babcock's strategic efforts to assess, enhance, and optimise the supportability of next-generation submarine platform design. Leverage effective project and engineering management to integrate operational insights and ensure in-service experience shapes future advancements.

    Lead the supportability assessment and demonstration programme.
    Act as a Subject Matter Expert in submarine supportability and maintainability.

    The role
    As a Principal Finite Element Analysis (FEA) Engineer, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. Day-to-day, you'll be responsible for leading in the execution and delivery of complex FE analysis-based tasks, using their deep technical knowledge to support product development throughout the design lifecycle.

    Provide technical support to our key customers, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of engineering outputs.
    Analysis will be predominately using ANSYS, for the analysis of linear and non-linear, static, and dynamic, structural, thermodynamic, in time and frequency domains and multi-physics environment, performing analytical studies for analysing the mechanism of kinematics, dynamics, and force analysis.
    Implementing robust verification and validation processes for stress analysis and experience in training and development of engineers in the field of stress analysis.
    Generating appropriate analytical methodologies for the optimization of stress analysis studies and produce appropriately justified technical solutions, interpreting, and converting analysis results into practical design outputs.

    The role
    As a Principal Safety Case Engineer (PSCE) Naval Reactor Plant (NRP) you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. Your role will include leading and managing the production of NRP Safety Justifications. You'll ensure tasks are delivered safely on time, to specification and within an agreed budget, maintaining effective working relationships with all key Ministry of Defence (MOD), Babcock and Industry Partner stakeholders throughout.

    Day-to-day, your key responsibilities will include:

    Management of the NRP Safety Justifications across both Faslane and the Explosive Handling Jetty (EHJ) as directed by Nuclear Compliance Manager (NCM).
    Supporting the Safety Justification Group (SJG) with the development and maintenance of a fully justified and compliant Safety Justifications iaw Authorisation Condition (AC) 14.
    Implementation of the HMNB Clyde Safety, Security, Quality and Environmental policies in the Site Safety Justification area of the business ensuring that assessments of risks are carried out which lead to safe working attitudes and practices.
    Ensure that adequate Suitably Qualified and Experienced resource and equipment is available to conduct activities in accordance with the Clyde Safety Management Arrangements.
    Develop new modern Safety Cases for Dreadnought Class and a variety of Infrastructure Projects.

    This role is full time 4 days/ 36 hours per week and is based across HMNB Clyde (Faslane) and RNAD Coulport, near Helensburgh.

    The role
    As a Commercial Specialist, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. The role will focus on commercial management of existing projects and supporting the growth team with new opportunities.

    Day-to-day, you'll provide commercial analysis of business, opportunities and contracts, amongst general financial analysis of bids and contracts, risk analysis, analysis of terms, agreements and contracts and lead on complex negotiations relating to these commercial areas. You will also:

    Develop existing commercial relationships with clients into long-term partnering relationships and build new relationships

    This is a brilliant opportunity to work as part of the MEH Alliance on the prestigious Hinkley Point C Nuclear project. The alliance work across the project to integrate and coordinate the delivery of all main MEH, cabling and associated support services. This innovative approach will help different contractors work as a single entity to deliver the complex installation of cabling and pipework in the power station's 2,500 rooms.

    The role

    As a Construction Engineer - Mechanical Piping, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary.     Day to day, you'll take full responsibility for preparing construction work packs specific to your discipline and record all relevant information (like RFIs and FCRs) in the AS9 system.

    • Help plan and schedule tasks for your discipline to keep the project on track.
    • Clearly outline what's included (and not included) in the work you're responsible for.
    • Collaborate with subject matter experts and client representatives to ensure everything runs smoothly.
    • Identify the available workfront for the discipline through detailed constructability reviews and the associated installation schedule.
    • Take charge of your documents from start to finish, aiming for over 90% to be accepted on the first submission. This may include writing method statements.
    • Focus on getting the right documents ready in time to support construction activities-ideally, three months before the work begins.

    This is a full-time role, 37 hours per week and based In Hessle, Hull. The role will require a 4-week period on site at Hinkley Point C in Bridgwater, to enable an in depth induction. Once up to speed you will be require going to site infrequently.

    Facilitate the use of the Procon system to enhance construction activities and progress reporting for the MEH Alliance.
    Ensure the MEH Alliance's adherence to the Work Authorisation and Permit systems managed by NNB.
    Coordinate safe access routes to workfaces to support the MEH Alliance's construction efforts.
    Conduct topographical and other necessary surveys to aid the MEH Alliance's construction projects.
    Prioritize and manage documentation to enable construction activities according to the level 4 plan, ensuring acceptance three months prior to commencement.
    Ensure all documents comply with the latest work information and other MEH documentation.
