This innovative approach will help different contractors work as a single entity to deliver the complex installation of cabling and pipework in the power station's 2,500 rooms.
The role
As a Construction Engineer - Mechanical Piping, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll lead, manage and motivate the team through implementation of best practice, support continuous improvement programmes to improve process/procedures and ensure compliance with all nuclear safety and site license requirements.
Day to day, you'll take full responsibility for preparing construction work packs specific to your discipline and record all relevant information (like RFIs and FCRs) in the AS9 system.
• Help plan and schedule tasks for your discipline to keep the project on track.
• Clearly outline what's included (and not included) in the work you're responsible for.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts and client representatives to ensure everything runs smoothly.
• Identify the available workfront for the discipline through detailed constructability reviews and the associated installation schedule.
• Take charge of your documents from start to finish, aiming for over 90% to be accepted on the first submission. This may include writing method statements.
• Focus on getting the right documents ready in time to support construction activities-ideally, three months before the work begins.
This is a full-time role, 37 hours per week and based In Hessle, Hull. The role will require a 4-week period on site at Hinkley Point C in Bridgwater, to enable an in depth induction. Once up to speed you will be require going to site infrequently.
Essential experience of the Construction Engineer - Mechanical Piping
• Experience working on major construction projects. With proven track record of working in a highly regulated sector and knowledge and experience in Safe Systems of Work

This is a brilliant opportunity to work as part of the MEH Alliance on the prestigious Hinkley Point C Nuclear project. The alliance work across the project to integrate and coordinate the delivery of all main MEH, cabling and associated support services. This innovative approach will help different contractors work as a single entity to deliver the complex installation of cabling and pipework in the power station's 2,500 rooms.
The role
As a Construction Engineer - Mechanical Piping, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll lead, manage and motivate the team through implementation of best practice, support continuous improvement programmes to improve process/procedures and ensure compliance with all nuclear safety and site license requirements.
Day to day, you'll deliver Mechanical & Piping Construction Workpacks to support the MEH Alliance programme as well as providing and demonstrating a positive HSE leadership, building a strong and compliant HS&E culture throughout the whole construction life cycle of the Project.
Facilitate the use of the Procon system to enhance construction activities and progress reporting for the MEH Alliance.
Ensure the MEH Alliance's adherence to the Work Authorisation and Permit systems managed by NNB.
Coordinate safe access routes to workfaces to support the MEH Alliance's construction efforts.
Conduct topographical and other necessary surveys to aid the MEH Alliance's construction projects.
Prioritize and manage documentation to enable construction activities according to the level 4 plan, ensuring acceptance three months prior to commencement.
Ensure all documents comply with the latest work information and other MEH documentation.
This is a full-time role with 37 hours per week based on the Hinkley Point C, Bridgwater, Somerset.
Essential experience of the Construction Engineer - Mechanical Piping
Experience working on major construction projects. With proven track record of working in a highly regulated sector and knowledge and experience in Safe Systems of Work
Experienced in delivering and operating at Engineer or Senior Engineer level, including experience working within Joint Ventures
Qualifications for the Construction Engineer - Mechanical Piping
Degree qualification or equivalent vocational training and experience of installing Mechanical and Piping systems.

The role
As a Commercial Specialist, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. The role will focus on commercial management of existing projects and supporting the growth team with new opportunities.
Day-to-day, you’ll provide commercial analysis of business, opportunities and contracts, amongst general financial analysis of bids and contracts, risk analysis, analysis of terms, agreements and contracts and lead on complex negotiations relating to these commercial areas. You will also:
Develop existing commercial relationships with clients into long-term partnering relationships and build new relationships
Identify business, corporate risks and contract risks and develop mitigation plans with operational teams
Lead major complex negotiations in partnering ways which deliver client and internal expectations
Draft, negotiate and implement agreements and contracts
