     This role supports the AXIS Compliance function across the UK, Europe and Bermuda to maintain, enhance and execute a robust compliance framework to provide evidence-based assurance of compliance with applicable regulatory compliance. The AXIS Compliance function operates within a cross-jurisdictional framework with strong collaboration across the wider Compliance team and other business areas.

    Reporting to the Compliance SMF-16 for AXIS Managing Agency Limited (“AMAL”), the role holder will assist the Compliance function in all aspects of the Compliance Universe.

    What will you do in this role?
     Provide expert guidance to the business on compliance and regulatory matters, including governance, outsourcing, operational resilience, licensing, conduct risk etc. to employees, with the support of Compliance Operations, in a manner that is appropriate to their role and seniority. Contribute to the quality, timely, and concise reporting to the legal entity Boards, Executive Management, and provide reports to any other applicable governance forum.Represent the Compliance function in various Committees and Working Groups, presenting on Compliance matters and providing robust challenge to the business.     • Cyber coverages embedded in other AXIS Insurance products (e.g. business written out of Canada and Bermuda)

    This role has overall responsibility for providing pricing support for Global Cyber & Technology business written out of our non-US offices.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and maintain pricing models and train underwriters to ensure a consistent approach across the unit
    • Deliver quarterly product monitoring analyses to identify any profitability issues and / or business opportunities, and assist underwriters in developing subsequent action plans
    • Assist underwriters as needed in the evaluation of large facilities incorporating experience and exposure rating and provide recommendations on optimizing the portfolios
    • Evaluate the potential profitability of new facilities and assist underwriters in the development of new portfolio products
    • Derive expected loss ratios for financial planning taking into account business strategy, market conditions, mix of business, trends and reinsurance structure

    Global Markets Portfolio Solutions team provide capacity to Broker Facility/ Coverholder/ Consortia across a broad range of product lines on a diversified follow basis.
    The role is responsible for underwriting and managing the Portfolio Solutions accounts and is expected to actively participate in the strategic development and delivery of a technically profitable portfolio whilst building and enhancing commercial relationships with brokers and coverholders.

    How does this role contribute to our collective success?

    As a Senior Delegated Underwriting Assistant, you will help ensure the oversight and compliance of delegated authority arrangements by assisting the Delegated UW Manager in managing the administration of all business written into AXIS Global Markets Division under delegated authority contracts.

    What will you do in this role?You will provide guidance and support to underwriting units in relation to Delegated authority business and ensure compliance with Lloyd’s Code of Practice and minimum standards.You will develop and maintain appropriate approval and review processes for new and existing Coverholders and Delegated authority contracts. You will provide regular reporting, including monitoring of key performance indicators, addressing DUA performance, controls and exception reporting for the DUA team and other stakeholders. You will be responsible for Atlas & DCOM administration. You will liaise with Lloyd’s Policyholder & Third-Party Oversight team as required. You will assist the DUA Manager and Head of Delegated Underwriting Authority as required in the ongoing management of all areas of Axis’s Delegated Underwriting business. You will co-ordinate and undertake wider projects and duties in relation to DUA business. You will use formal reporting mechanisms to promptly notify relevant parties of any perceived new risk or failures of existing control measures. You will always endeavour to consider the effect of any actions taken on AXIS customers with the intention of improving their experience.
    You may also be required to take on additional duties, responsibilities and activities appropriate to the nature of this role.

    The Terrorism Underwriter will act as a representative within established guidelines to enhance the global position of AXIS. The candidate will be responsible for helping to manage the current book whilst developing new business opportunities, making recommendations based on their knowledge of local market conditions.

    What will you do in this role?Prospect new business targets and opportunities. Develops and manages a pipeline for prospecting new business, targeting of established and lapsed business relationships.Review and evaluate new business opportunities business based upon company underwriting guidelines, competition and geographic focus.Underwrite an existing, renewing book of business. Work closely with distribution partners to ensure AXIS receives opportunity to quote acceptable risks. Meet established underwriting team servicing objectives related to quote turnaround, policy issuance, account and renewal management, file maintenance and documentation.Reviews coverage requests provided by broker and determine unit’s position relating to such requests within individual authority granted. Present requests outside the individual authority to immediate supervisor for approval or guidance. Analyse and underwrite individual risks.
