Working Pattern: Term time only, Monday to Friday

Axcis Education is seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to join an outstanding SEN school in Blandford Forum, providing 1:1 support to children and young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and a range of complex needs. • Provide personalised 1:1 support to help students remain focused, engaged, and motivated
• Assist teachers in planning and delivering creative, individualised learning activities
• Support students’ academic, emotional, and social development with consistent guidance
• Promote progress in communication, independence, social interaction, and self-care
• Help maintain a calm, structured, and positive learning environment
• Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to deliver a trauma-informed, holistic approach
• Build strong, trusting relationships to create a safe, nurturing atmosphere The Ideal Candidate
• Experience supporting children or young people with ASC or other SEN
• A genuine passion for helping learners with additional needs
• Strong communication, patience, and organisational skills
