    The Opportunity:Avantor is looking for a science-savvy and flexible Biobank Liaison Scientistto join our team based in Cambridge, UK. In this position, you’ll assist in the acquisition and utilisation of human biological samples (HBS), ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and contributing to the development of research initiatives. You’ll also support histology-related tasks such as sectioning and staining, and help maintain laboratory areas.Your time will be divided between computer-based tasks (60% of your time) and laboratory work (40% of your time).This role will be a full-time, temporary (12 months) position based in a brand-new facility at the customer site – The Discovery Centre, Bio-Medical Campus in Cambridge.     YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

    Cost Accounting:Maintain accurate product costs in the SAP ERP system.Analyze production and material costs and make recommendations for improved cost controlsCollaborate with Commercial FP&A, and manufacturing teams to ensure costs are being captured correctlyDevelop standard procedures for product costingPrepare month-end manufacturing results and scorecard. Provide insights to results.Ensure systems controls are in place and determine operation's consistency with corporate objectives and standards through various verification methods and proceduresReport and monitor plant headcount by functionPrepare and maintain inventory reporting + cycle count completeness monitoringDevelop financial models in support of the annual budget and forecasting processesAssist department managers in the development of department and organization-wide budgetsGather data to support budgeting analysis and forecasting.
