Due to continued growth a position has become available for a full-time HGV Technician based in Clayton le moors, Accrington, Lancashire.
Atlas Truck and Van Ltd are a family run business looking for an experienced Heavy Goods Vehicle Technician to join our busy family run workshop team.
Due to high customer demand, we a looking to recruit an additional team member to join our team. We offer great workshop facilities, the latest diagnostic equipment and as Top Truck and Wabco agents we offer an on-going training and development programme. We will always keep up to date with advancing vehicle technology.
. The successful HGV Mechanic will receive a competitive hourly rate plus benefits including :-

The workshop is to be remodelled to a 21st century modern workshop very soon with even more space and facilities

No Nights, No Shifts, Regular Hours
Main duties and key responsibilities will include :
Routine servicing, inspection, diagnostics and repairs to a range of trucks mainly Mercedes and Daf working on mainly curtain siders, box vans and tractor units including the odd Crane Wagon, Skip Wagon, Volumetric Truck, Tipper etc
All work undertaken at our Workshop no site work
Maintaining a high standard of Health & Safety
Good house keeping skills
Skills, experience and attributes:
Experience of working with a range of trucks
Good level knowledge and be able to carry out repairs as required
Preferably a professionally recognised qualifications in HGV maintenance and inspection
Excellent approach to Health & Safety
Full UK Driving licence essential
Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team
Must be flexible
HGV Class 1 or 2 licence preferred training given to the right person.
