As part of the Business Consulting and Advisory practice, you will be supporting real clients facing real challenges and provide strategic thinking and innovative solution development from problem concept through to delivery, also you will be: Working with clients to provide strategic consultancy to set and realise strategies for change, against their most complex problem sets. Designing and creating programmes to support major transformations to ways of operating e.g. across staff and locations. Using analysis, modelling and technology to support drawing conclusions to meet the challenges of increased competition and expectations e.g. increasing student retention or supporting a major new investment. Utilising innovative technology, structures, systems and people change to design and deliver objectives efficiently. Reviewing existing feasibility studies, masterplans and risk assessments to make robust and clear proposals and business cases that will challenge and validate realisation of benefits. Deliver solutions to improve efficiency, quality and customer experience, by optimising clients' resources, processes and assets. Developing and delivering best in class tailored commercial, procurement and supply chain consultancy for our clients. Delivering strong people and change consultancy - embedding the change so that our clients get the best outcomes. What you can bring: You will be given significant responsibility for client-facing work from day one. All our consultants are expected to have regular interactions with clients, to lead work-streams or projects, and to support senior colleagues in delivering specific project outputs. We therefore ask that you demonstrate capability and experience of Management Consulting delivery across four dimensions: Client interaction- You build trusted and lasting relationships with clients at all levels in a business environment. You have relevant sector experience – e.g. central government, defence, education, transport. Technical delivery- You have at least a degree or equivalent qualification and may hold, or be working towards, a professional qualification. You have strong written communication skills and the ability to write documents which are compelling, engaging and unambiguous. You demonstrate high level of problem-solving ability in relation to technically complex or conceptually abstract ideas. You present complex solutions and concepts effectively and make persuasive cases based on analysis. You have a variety of consulting capabilities and techniques to suit different situations. These might include strategy development, research, analysis, organisational development, culture change, IT-enabled change, business process analysis, change impact assessment, coaching and/or mentoring; training development and delivery. Practice and service development- You are an excellent team player with the ability to communicate and engage at all levels with a variety of stakeholders. You can demonstrate an ability to transfer skills and knowledge to colleagues. You are proactive in your approach to work and enjoy working with a variety of people as well as being comfortable with progressing work independently. Business development- You either have experience or potential to support or contribute to the sale of Business Consulting work – including bid development and presentation delivery. You have strong commercial acumen and are comfortable with managing bids and end to end assignment financial management. Additionally, you will display the following characteristics. The Individual: Chartered Engineer/Architect with experience of working on design commissions for large infrastructure projects. Join as an Associate Lighting Designer in our Specialist and Architectural Lighting Team. We work on projects of all types and sizes across the UK and overseas. Our projects are bringing digitalisation to lighting solutions and transforming the way people live and work. You will be a senior member of our lighting team which specialises in all aspects of lighting whether it be natural or artificial. You will also support interior and exterior architectural lighting schemes from concept through to construction with sustainability and net zero carbon at the forefront of all we do. Your purpose: Responsible for creating innovative lighting solutions across a wide range of specialist, architectural and multi-disciplinary projects, including commercial, residential, and public spaces. Manage and deliver lighting projects from initial concept through completion to final handover. Provide both conceptual and technical lighting consultancy and design support for diverse interior and exterior projects. Present design concepts and proposals to clients and stakeholders, incorporating feedback to refine and finalise design solutions. Continuously engaging with customers and stakeholders to ensure lighting solutions integrate seamlessly with overall project goals including development of innovative low carbon solutions in a responsive and client focussed manner. Support technical leadership within the team and provide guidance to our clients. Provide technical support and guidance to clients throughout the project lifecycle. Collaborate with architects, interior designers, mechanical electrical and public health engineers, and other disciplines to ensure cohesive project execution. Participate in project meetings and site visits to assess lighting needs and installation progress. Promoting the benefits of good lighting design both within AtkinsRéalis and externally at industry events. Ensuring all work is delivered to a high level of quality and professionalism on time and to budget.
    Mentoring and supporting the development of other staff. What you can bring: Substantial experience gained from delivering a wide variety of specialist and architectural lighting concepts and designs for interior and exterior applications. Strong understanding of lighting principles, sustainable design practices and electrical systems. Experience with advanced lighting control systems and smart technologies. Ability to use and interrogate lighting design/analysis specific software and tools to create accurate and visually appealing lighting renderings. Proficiency in lighting design and rendering software (including but not limited to DIALux or Relux, AutoCAD, Revit, Daylight study software, Enscape, Photoshop). Experience of preparing various type and format of project and design deliverables such as specifications, schedules, registers, reports among others. Ability to prepare documentation and reports required for regulatory approvals. Knowledge and experience, recognised by peers as being an expert in lighting. Ability to apply lighting standards and your experience in such a way to deliver the clients vision and requirements. Experience of national and international standards along with specific client requirements including safety regulations, and sustainability certification such as BREEAM, LEED. Ability to understand the key client drivers and propose innovative low carbon solutions. Experience in a wide range of stakeholder engagement including with clients and contractors. Up to date on the latest lighting technologies, industry trends, and best practices. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
