ASA Recruitment are currently looking for experienced Project Workers who are looking for a minimum of 2 shifts per week to support people who are experiencing homelessness some who have addiction and alcohol abuse issues in and around the Glasgow area.     This position is designed for skilled Support Workers who can confidently support adults with complex needs, forensic histories, and significant risk profiles. As this is a driver only role, you will be responsible for transporting individuals safely to appointments, community activities and essential services. Key Responsibilities Provide trauma informed, person centred support to adults with learning disabilities, helping them live independently and safely. Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, medication support and household tasks. Support individuals in developing life skills such as budgeting, cooking, travel training, and social interaction. Encourage participation in meaningful activities, hobbies and community engagement to promote confidence, independence, and wellbeing. Support individuals in managing challenging behaviours using de-escalation techniques and following personalised risk management plans. Maintain accurate records, monitor changes in behaviour or wellbeing and communicate effectively with families and multi-agency teams, including social work, GPs and allied health professionals. Advocate for individual’s rights, choices, and preferences, ensuring they are empowered in decision making and day to day life.
