Main purpose of the job The Senior Manager Business Development is responsible for driving strategic growth initiatives, identifying new business opportunities, and building strong relationships with key stakeholders. This role requires a proactive leader who can develop and execute business development strategies to expand market presence, increase revenue, and strengthen the organization's competitive position. Main missions and results
    Strategic Planning: • Develop and implement business development strategies aligned with organisational goals and Artifex values of Integrity and Responsibility. • Identify emerging market trends and opportunities for expansion while ensuring ethical and sustainable growth. Market & Stakeholder Development: • Build and maintain relationships with prospective clients, partners, and industry influencers based on trust, unity, and transparency. • Lead negotiations and secure Customer Program Awards to achieve Corporate Targets while upholding principles of fairness and excellence. Partnership & Alliances: • Establish strategic partnerships to enhance product/service offerings and market reach with a pioneering mindset and adherence to ethical standards. • Manage and nurture long-term relationships with key accounts fostering mutual respect and responsibility. Team Leadership: • Mentor and guide the business development team, inclusive of the Cross Functional Stakeholders to achieve performance objectives. • Foster a culture of Unity, Integrity, Responsibility, Pioneering and Excellence with all Stakeholders. • Lead the Business by example, providing engaged ‘Hands On' support where needed to ensure we drive to success. • Directly accountable for the performance and professional development of Managers and Senior Professionals within the Business Development team. • Guides employees in complex problem solving and drives continuous improvement activities to support team productivity. Performance & Reporting: • Track and analyse KPIs to measure success of business development initiatives. • Prepare regular reports for senior leadership on progress and outcomes.
    Preferred skills and experience • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or related field. Alternatively, demonstrable industry recognised experience. • Good working knowledge / understanding industry standards & related procedures including: APQP, PPAP, IATF. • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills that reflect Unity and Integrity. • Knowledge of customer base, company product, processes, technology and financial requirements. • Sufficient verbal and written language skills associated and the programme / operational locations. • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the customer and Artifex / TACO organisations with transparency and respect. • Adaptability in the location of work including business travel. • Ability to develop complex cost models from ‘Ground Up' approach to support business and customer requirements with accuracy and responsibility. • Flexibility to change priorities in response to changing programme demands while maintaining principles of excellence. • For one of the two positions we are recruiting for, English or German First Language is a must with strong requirement for the second to be fluent. For the other, just English is required.

    Artifex Interior Systems is pleased to confirm the below opportunity within our business: MES Engineer This role is on a 3-shift rotation, alternating between afternoons (14:00-22:00), mornings (06:00-14:00) and nights (22:00-06:00) on a weekly basis, with a Sunday night startup.
    Main purpose of the job • This role will form part of the plant technical team for the MES (Manufacturing Execution System) function for new project production launches and all current production processes across multiple Artifex Elmdon plants. Main missions and results • Reading of Sorion scripts to fault find. • Sorion process additions/alterations (example MY changes). • Overall understanding of the full Sorion system. • Understanding of changes within Sorion. • S21 into Sorion (BoMs). • Maintenance of updated Sorion scripts and backups. • Ability to create Sorion working sets for development. • Ability to implement Sorion working set through a CR (Change Request). • Setting up of scanning and printing. • Understanding of Orion Database. • Reading of PLC code to fault find (Siemens). • Assistance to support functions for problem resolution on PLCs. • Manual movement and recovery of a robot. • Understanding of error messages for fault finding on robotics. • Understanding of effect of change to vision system. • Management of master settings (vision/sensors). • Understanding of setting of: colour sensors, part presence sensors, fixed barcode and RFID readers, and EOL camera systems. • Reading of PTL (Pick to Light) scripts to fault find. • Process additions/alterations to PTL (Pick to Light - example MY changes). • Understanding of changes to PTL (Pick to Light) within Sorion. • Maintenance of PTL (Pick to Light) updated scripts and backups. • Understanding of how Kepware works with Sorion. • Ability to log onto Kepware server to fault find. • Ability to update Kepware system for additions/changes. • Ability to fault find and resolve issues within Eaton System. • Program new part numbers to positions in Eaton System (MY Changes and New Launch). Preferred skills and experience • Significant experience in an automotive and engineering environment. • Robotic awareness trained for movement, recovery and fault finding (ABB, Nachi and Fanuc).
    • Knowledge of PLC programming and fault finding through to fix. • Programming and fault-finding knowledge within Sorion, Orion and Kepware. • Audits - ISO19011 training or proven experience in automotive production sector (ISO/TS 16949, IATF16949, VDA). • Clear understanding and able to apply PFMEA logic to identify and manage risk/feasibility. • Knowledge of: • Keyence and Omron Vision, Camera and Sensor Systems. • Eaton System programming and fault finding through to fix. • ECR (Engineering Change Request) Processes. • Knowledge of and execution of Practical Problem Solving (Six Sigma Methodology). • PCR (Process Change Request) Processes. • Waterjet machines and robotics. • Key controlling documents (PFMEA, Control Plan and SOI's). • Knowledge and Understanding of Launch Process (Gateways).     Artifex Interior Systems is pleased to confirm the below opportunity within our business: New Product Development Manager Main purpose of the job The primary purpose will be to develop, write and deliver the methodology of how to execute new Programs the ‘Artifex way' that ensures a robust, high quality and profitable Program delivered on time. This will involve working with key functional leads across the business to identify ‘what good looks like' in all of the different disciplines and building that all together into a coherent plan that can be followed by everyone in the business. Main missions and results • Work with all areas of the business to build the work streams for each functional area in support of a designated customer Program, identifying what ‘good looks like' for each team and drawing that out into something that makes sense. • Build all areas into one coherent plan, working most closely with the head of Program Management, Engineering and Manufacturing/Launch to ensure the key needs of the Program are covered. • Identify needed processes, procedures and systems along the way and taking live decisions on which ones need to be actioned as you go, and which ones can be delivered later. • Chair regular sessions with key stakeholders to manage conflicts between areas related to timing, needed outputs, process and system requirements. • Work with HR and training team to develop training programs to ensure that the methodology can be well integrated, easy to follow and becomes part of everyone's daily working life. • Be responsible for enabling lessons learnt and continuous improvement of the Product development methodology. • Work with key system providers to roll the authored methodology into a chosen software system than can integrate into or with the existing or new company systems without adding further complexity into how we manage and deliver programs. • Manage a small team of direct and indirect reports to author the processes and procedures that are identified as part of the methodology creation. Preferred skills and experience • Experience required in authoring or being part of a team who have authored a new product development process/methodology for a technology company, preferably in Automotive. • A degree (or equivalent experience) in Engineering, Manufacturing or Program management. • Must have a good technical (Engineering) and manufacturing understanding in a premium goods industry, preferably automotive. • Must have demonstrable experience (either directly or indirectly) in managing a team of people to achieve a program of work.
