Drive error-free documentation and quality gate sign-offs while coaching internal teams and suppliers. Main missions and results • Drive / support the APQP process for NPI projects. • Support design inputs, D-FMEAs, control plans, MSA and process capability to ensure launch readiness. • Lead PPAP preparation, review and submission including PSW, dimensional and material results. • Facilitate cross-functional D/P-FMEA sessions. • Maintain FMEAs through design and build stages with linkage to control plans. • Provide quality guidance to suppliers and drive PPAP and APQP deliverables. • Lead internal process audits and support corrective actions (8D). • Chair quality gate meetings to secure production approval. Preferred skills and experience • Hands-on experience with AIAG VDA FMEA format. • Proven NPI experience delivering full APQP and PPAP. • Expertise in SPC, MSA, Cp/Cpk and DOE. • Practical knowledge of IATF 16949 and ISO 9001. • Degree, HND, HNC, IQA or equivalent. • Experience in Automotive Tier 1 preferred. • Strong communication and influencing skills.     Main purpose of the job Provide leadership and strategic direction to the Advanced Engineering sub function, accountable for the performance and outcomes of multiple related teams supporting pre nomination and RFQ phases of new business.     Artifex Interior Systems is pleased to confirm the below opportunity within our business: Trackside Quality TechnicianWe have two roles available which will be based onsite at the customer. Please note this position will be on a 3-shift rotation, alternating weekly between afternoons (14:00-22:00), mornings (06:00-14:00) and nights (22:00-06:00).
    Main purpose of the job: To act as the on-site Quality representative at the customer facility, providing real-time quality containment, inspection, and problem resolution directly supporting Trackside. The role ensures supplied product meets all customer, specification and quality standard requirements, while rapidly responding to quality concerns, coordinating corrective actions with the supplier plant, and supporting continuous improvement.
    Main missions and results: • Provide immediate on-site containment and drive resolution of internal and external quality issues occurring at the customer facility. • Work closely with customer operators, quality engineers, and team leaders Trackside to align inspection standards and support smooth production flow. • Ensure approved master samples and reference parts are available Trackside and used as the inspection benchmark for production conformity. • Implement, communicate, and verify adherence to Quality Alerts and containment actions on the line. • Escalate quality risks promptly and transparently. • Initiate temporary/permanent fix to quality problems. • Provide timely, accurate feedback to the supplier plant on defects and trends. • Support line trials. • Global 8D reporting – using multifunctional team support. • Support structured problem-solving activities (e.g. 8D). • Identify recurring defects and drive improvement opportunities. • Support refinement of inspection methods, control plans and visual standards.     Main missions and results • Ensure adherence to all Health & Safety procedures.  Be proactive in the raising of potential H&S issues and the development of personal safety awareness. • Fully understand and ensure procedural adherence to all company business operating systems. • Develop best practice methodology and procedures in line with SMED, 5s Kaizen methods and train Shift personal accordingly. • Monitor tool change time progress and identify and implement improvement plans in place to meet set objectives. • Maintain standard process setting data for use in the SMS database.     Artifex Interior Systems is pleased to confirm the below opportunity within our business: Procurement Manager - UK Indirects Main purpose of the job The Indirects Procurement Manager is responsible for leading a team of Buyers and also managing their own portfolio within Indirect Procurement.  The role will be mainly focused on the procurement of indirect goods and services that support manufacturing operations which may include such things as maintenance repair and operations facility, services, equipment and professional services. Artifex Interior Systems is a commercially driven environment, with a particular emphasis on strategic souring, supplier relationship management, effective negotiation, and stakeholder engagement. You will be working closely with plant operations and enabling services to understand and deliver indirect requirements at optimal value. Main missions and results • Strategic sourcing and procurement • Developing and executing sourcing strategies for indirect categories • Negotiate contracts pricing and terms with suppliers to achieve cost savings and value creation • Conduct market analysis and benchmarking to identify opportunities for improvement • Supply management • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers • Ensure supplier performance, quality and compliance is in line with contractual obligations • Implement supply risk management and sustainability initiatives • Cost optimization • Drive cost reduction projects without compromising on quality and service levels • Analyse spend data and identify opportunities for consolidation and efficiency • Cross functional collaboration • Work in unity with manufacturing engineering finance and other departments to understand requirements • Collaborate with stakeholders in selecting suppliers and managing procurement processes • Demonstrate business behaviours in line with core company values • Compliance and reporting • Ensure adherence to company procurement policies and ethical standards Preferred skills and experience • Degree / MCIPS preferred but not essential. • Ability to promote best practice purchasing techniques. • Experienced in people management and leadership. • Proven commercial success / strong negotiator. • Previous manufacturing / automotive experience in (Indirect or Tooling) required. • Ability to lead negotiations and support teams in the development of negotiations strategies for large and complex projects. • Knowledge and experience of how to create and deliver commodity strategies. • Excellent influencing and interpersonal skills. • Demonstrable commercial success within an Automotive and / or manufacturing environment is desired, but willing to consider all industries with the right competencies gained. • Excellent organisational skills, deadline adherence and exceptional attention to accuracy and detail. • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.     Artifex Interior Systems is pleased to confirm the below opportunity within our business: New Product Development Manager Main purpose of the job The primary purpose will be to develop, write and deliver the methodology of how to execute new Programs the ‘Artifex way' that ensures a robust, high quality and profitable Program delivered on time. This will involve working with key functional leads across the business to identify ‘what good looks like' in all of the different disciplines and building that all together into a coherent plan that can be followed by everyone in the business. Main missions and results • Work with all areas of the business to build the work streams for each functional area in support of a designated customer Program, identifying what ‘good looks like' for each team and drawing that out into something that makes sense. • Build all areas into one coherent plan, working most closely with the head of Program Management, Engineering and Manufacturing/Launch to ensure the key needs of the Program are covered. • Identify needed processes, procedures and systems along the way and taking live decisions on which ones need to be actioned as you go, and which ones can be delivered later. • Chair regular sessions with key stakeholders to manage conflicts between areas related to timing, needed outputs, process and system requirements. • Work with HR and training team to develop training programs to ensure that the methodology can be well integrated, easy to follow and becomes part of everyone's daily working life. • Be responsible for enabling lessons learnt and continuous improvement of the Product development methodology. • Work with key system providers to roll the authored methodology into a chosen software system than can integrate into or with the existing or new company systems without adding further complexity into how we manage and deliver programs. • Manage a small team of direct and indirect reports to author the processes and procedures that are identified as part of the methodology creation. Preferred skills and experience • Experience required in authoring or being part of a team who have authored a new product development process/methodology for a technology company, preferably in Automotive. • A degree (or equivalent experience) in Engineering, Manufacturing or Program management. • Must have a good technical (Engineering) and manufacturing understanding in a premium goods industry, preferably automotive. • Must have demonstrable experience (either directly or indirectly) in managing a team of people to achieve a program of work.     This role is on continental shifts - 2x 07:00-19:00, 2x 19:00-07:00, followed by 4 days off.
    Main missions and results • Maintenance of all electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems on all machinery, robotics, lasers, ancillary, material handling equipment to maintain efficiency and utilisation of 95%. • Assist in implementing and maintaining proactive maintenance systems for PPM and TPM. • Route cause analysis to identify issues and provide 1st time fixes to reduce downtime. • Fault finding and repair on electrical issues and mechanical faults on hydraulics and pneumatics. • Effective and timely response to all breakdowns. • Adhere to all company HSE policies and procedures at all times. • Comply with LOTO procedures at all times. • Recommend improvements to equipment and processes to enhance quality and productivity. • Perform safety checks on all machines. • Perform routine preventative maintenance checks on all production equipment and machinery. • Replace and repair parts on machines such as bearings, filters, wiring, valves, gauges and switches. • Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments. • Replace electrical parts and equipment as required. • Observe and listen to mechanical devices in operation to locate causes of trouble. • Dismantle machinery to gain access to and remove defective parts. • Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements. • Repair or replace defective parts. • Lubricate and clean parts as required. • Start machinery to test their performance. • Implement Continuous improvement activities to assist cost down at all times. • Any other projects or tasks assigned to you by management as required. • Shift working and flexibility essential. Preferred skills and experience • NVQ level 3 in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering required. • Must have previous experience working in a high volume, high class, Automotive environment. • Experience of working with injection moulding machines. • Experience in practical mechanical / electrical engineering.
    • Demonstrate effective time management. • Experienced in Robotics. specifically, ABB 6 Axis robot / Fanuc  and PLC Programming. • Knowledge of Quality systems such as IATF16949 / ISO 9000 a distinct advantage. • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels. • Team player- flexible on colleague cover and working outside normal hours. • Prepared to accommodate emergency call out (within reasonable parameters). • Understanding of IATF16949/ISO9001 Quality standards.
