    Artifex Interior Systems is pleased to confirm the below opportunity within our business: Maintenance Supervisor This role is on continental shifts - 2x 07:00-19:00, 2x 19:00-07:00, followed by 4 days off.
    Main purpose of the job • Assist in the management of the day-to-day workload for the maintenance team to ensure an effective and efficient service is delivered and departmental targets are achieved, including the planning and resourcing of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and maintenance shutdown. • Drive a culture of continuous improvement throughout the team of skilled Technicians. • Provide leadership and line management to the team, coordinating and overseeing their workloads, providing support to ensure that the team delivers, monitoring any issues, and ensuring targets, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and quality standards are met. • Develop the team by focusing on individual performance and support requirements to achieve high standards, whilst fostering a culture of working safely. • Act independently at the organisational level. Outcomes reviewed by organisational head. Decisions and results have an impact on the function and their success; performance affects the function's image.
    Main missions and results
    Team Leadership & Coordination • Provide direct supervision, support, and guidance to your maintenance team. • Plan, coordinate, and manage team shifts, holiday cover, overtime, and daily job allocation. • Identify team training needs and organise appropriate training, coaching, and onboarding. • Promote a safe, positive, and high-performing team culture. Maintenance Delivery • Support robot and PLC programming activities as required. • Carry out mechanical, electrical, and electronic maintenance tasks within your capability, supporting the team when needed. • Assist in delivering an efficient maintenance operation that fulfils production and customer requirements. • Manage and support maintenance projects, ensuring work is completed safely and to standard. Safety & Compliance • Ensure team members follow safe working practices and all mandatory Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality procedures. • Maintain responsibility for the safety of individuals within your team and anyone affected by maintenance activities. • Ensure accurate completion of paperwork, permits, and documentation for maintenance tasks. Performance and Continuous Improvement • Undertake effective diagnosis, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment to maximise uptime. • Support planned preventative maintenance activities and help minimise unplanned downtime. • Conduct basic root cause analysis and suggest practical countermeasures. • Document breakdowns, identify recurring issues, and escalate when necessary. • Assist with identifying and resolving resource or spare-part requirements. Communication and reporting • Provide clear communication to the team on priorities, tasks, and expectations. • Report progress at project meetings and update relevant stakeholders on maintenance performance and issues. • Promote continuous improvement and support team development to maintain high operational standards.
    Preferred skills and experience • An A Level, ONC, City & Guilds level 3, BTec National Diploma Level 3, IVQ Technician Diploma, NVQ3 or equivalent is essential for this position. • Professional accreditation with an industry related body would be advantageous. • Completed a recognised indentured apprenticeship in maintenance management. • Experience of working with facilities management. • Mechanical, electrical, electronic or software background with a working knowledge of the other disciplines. • Substantial experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment, preferably automotive. • Commercial understanding of the impact of failure/downtime on production and ultimately customer delivery. • FLT reach licence would be advantageous. • Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques and recognised QC (Quality Control) tools. • Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation including ISO14001 and responsibilities. • Knowledge of Quality standard TS16949. • Ability to coach, counsel and lead a team of people. • Ability to communicate with clarity, both verbally and in written form. • Able to work cross functionally and collaboratively with many stakeholders. • Exercise considerable initiative/judgement in work methods and in interpreting and delegating work requirements/goals.     Main missions and results • Maintenance of all electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems on all machinery, robotics, lasers, ancillary, material handling equipment to maintain efficiency and utilisation of 95%. • Assist in implementing and maintaining proactive maintenance systems for PPM and TPM. • Route cause analysis to identify issues and provide 1st time fixes to reduce downtime. • Fault finding and repair on electrical issues and mechanical faults on hydraulics and pneumatics. • Effective and timely response to all breakdowns. • Adhere to all company HSE policies and procedures at all times. • Comply with LOTO procedures at all times. • Recommend improvements to equipment and processes to enhance quality and productivity. • Perform safety checks on all machines. • Perform routine preventative maintenance checks on all production equipment and machinery. • Replace and repair parts on machines such as bearings, filters, wiring, valves, gauges and switches. • Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments. • Replace electrical parts and equipment as required. • Observe and listen to mechanical devices in operation to locate causes of trouble. • Dismantle machinery to gain access to and remove defective parts. • Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements. • Repair or replace defective parts. • Lubricate and clean parts as required. • Start machinery to test their performance. • Implement Continuous improvement activities to assist cost down at all times. • Any other projects or tasks assigned to you by management as required. • Shift working and flexibility essential. Preferred skills and experience • NVQ level 3 in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering required. • Must have previous experience working in a high volume, high class, Automotive environment. • Experience of working with injection moulding machines. • Experience in practical mechanical / electrical engineering.
    • Demonstrate effective time management. • Experienced in Robotics. specifically, ABB 6 Axis robot / Fanuc  and PLC Programming. • Knowledge of Quality systems such as IATF16949 / ISO 9000 a distinct advantage. • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels. • Team player- flexible on colleague cover and working outside normal hours. • Prepared to accommodate emergency call out (within reasonable parameters). • Understanding of IATF16949/ISO9001 Quality standards.     Artifex Interior Systems is pleased to confirm the below opportunity within our business: Dimensional Engineer – 12-month FTC Main purpose of the job • Support Product Engineering team in developing and specifying new components to ensure robust location, tolerancing and measurement protocols. • Ownership of Dimensional Objectives & Strategy for the products we manufacture. • Lead Ensure dimensional compliance for PPAP. • Support with dimensional input on Problem solving and Warranty reduction projects as required. Main missions and results • Lead dimensional compliance activity for Programmes ensuring compliance ahead of PPAP milestones. • Work with Product Engineers & Designers to ensure the locator strategy & dimensional targets is agreed and translated into the part design, documented in design records, and approved prior to tool kick off. • Support internal and customer negotiations on locator position / strategy / tolerances / Interfaces to drive achievable tolerances in production. • Carry out and document DVA analysis & calculations utilising best practices • Ensure all gap/flush targets are assessed / concurred, backed up with the relevant dimensional studies. • Ensure the dimensional needs of the process (datums/measurement points) are captured and satisfied. • Ensure the dimensional needs of the product are cascaded to the primary & secondary tooling. • Utilise statistical analysis tools to support problem diagnosis and resolution. • Lead the mark-up of prints for GD&T annotation (Coordinate by Designer & Product Engineer) Sign off dimensional elements of design record / drawings prior to release. • Ensure Moldflow considerations form part of the dimensional analysis. • Ensure additional datums are considered to support the product through the manufacturing process and during gauging. • Communicate / escalate risks to Lead Engineer. • Provide input to DFMEA forum, ensure any Significant, Critical or High Impact Characteristics are transferred to the measurement plans. • Support gauge design process and ensure that Engineering requirements are cascaded and agreed with the Gauge Engineer. • Support nominal buck builds (Fit to Nominal / Design Check Property / Optical Quality) • Coordinate the Product Engineers' attendance / support of the above. • Ensure all customer & internal dimensional targets are documented and cascaded to the appropriate summary document e.g SCSS / SCCAF / Supplement K document. • Support change management process with Dimensional input to O/I Roadmaps. • Ensure all documentation is stored in the appropriate project file. • Ensure the use of standard documents and templates • Where documents require signatories / approval, ensure these are completed. • Maintain the above through subsequent changes until J1+90 • To support continuous development of dimensional documentation and procedures. Preferred skills and experience • Candidates will be certified to Degree level in an Engineering discipline. • Previous experience of working within a mass production, automotive manufacturing environment. • Experience of automotive interior commodities, typical primary and secondary processes. • Application of GD&T to BS8888 standard, Measurement and Gauging, Dimensional Management, and the use of statistics in the control of manufacturing. • Use of Vis VSA. • The ability to work as an individual or as part of a team. • Managerial, technical & administrative skills required - Should be fully conversant with automotive quality tools and systems; these should include TS16949, QS9000, ISO14001, supported by excellent organisational and communicational skills.
