Main missions and results • Lead the advanced development of injection moulding and primary manufacturing operations, ensuring capability, repeatability, and efficiency are incorporated into the pre-nomination phase. • Define process flows, tooling, and equipment specifications to meet product and quality requirements. • Collaborate with Product Engineering to influence design for manufacturability and cost efficiency. • Develop Foundation PFMEA, Control Plans, and process documentation to manage risk and ensure compliance. • Support proof of concept with robust process controls and validation techniques. • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce cycle time, scrap, and cost while improving quality and safety. • Lead problem-solving activities for process-related issues using structured methodologies (8D, A3). • Develop initial technical specifications and requirements for supplier RFQ process. • Ensure audit readiness and compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and customer-specific requirements. • Coach and mentor engineers and technicians to build process knowledge and capability across the organisation. Preferred skills and experience • Extensive experience in automotive manufacturing processes with a focus on plastics and injection moulding. • Proven ability to lead complex engineering projects and cross-functional teams. • Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, SPC, MSA, and process validation techniques. • Expertise in PFMEA development and risk management.
    • Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies. • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. • Degree or equivalent in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering; advanced qualifications desirable. • Auditing experience (ISO/IATF standards) preferred.

Act as the quality authority within Advanced Engineering, influencing architecture, concept selection, and risk mitigation to enable a robust, right first time handover to the programme launch and industrialisation teams. Main missions and results • Lead quality planning during pre-nomination phase. • Define the project quality approach from initial concept through to handover readiness. • Establish quality objectives, timing plans, and evidence expectations appropriate for RFQ responses, feasibility assessments, and early customer engagement. • Support Proof of Concept activities by defining quality acceptance criteria, test strategies, and evidence requirements. • Ensure technical and quality assumptions are validated early, and that concept decisions are supported by objective data. • Facilitate cross functional Foundation FMEA and early Design FMEA activities in line with AIAG VDA principles. Ensure risks are systematically identified, ranked, and mitigated, with clear traceability into concept choices, design actions, and future development plans. • Embed Design for Quality thinking in concept and architecture; chair concept and prototype quality reviews, ensuring Design for Quality (DfQ), Design for Manufacture, and Design for Assembly considerations are embedded before design freeze. • Establish early measurement concepts, test methods, and validation approaches suitable for Advanced Engineering maturity. Guide analytical studies, DOE, and learning loops to characterise technical limits, sensitivities, and potential failure modes. • Maintain visibility of open risks and ensure disciplined closure prior to project handover to Programme Launch team. • Prepare quality inputs for RFQ and nomination reviews • Ensure robust handover to launch and industrialisation teams. Lead the structured transition of quality knowledge, risks, and assumptions into the launch organisation.
    • Ensure D/PFMEA intent, key characteristics, control concepts, and open concerns are clearly documented and understood, enabling uninterrupted progression into APQP and industrialisation. • Develop capability in core quality tools, customer requirements, and best practice Advanced Engineering quality methods. • Capture lessons learned from concept development and Proof of Concept activities. Standardise approaches and feed learning into future Advanced Engineering projects to continuously improve front end quality effectiveness. Please note this position will be on a 3-shift rotation, alternating weekly between afternoons (14:00-22:00), mornings (06:00-14:00) and nights (22:00-06:00).
    Main purpose of the job: To act as the on-site Quality representative at the customer facility, providing real-time quality containment, inspection, and problem resolution directly supporting Trackside. The role ensures supplied product meets all customer, specification and quality standard requirements, while rapidly responding to quality concerns, coordinating corrective actions with the supplier plant, and supporting continuous improvement.
    Main missions and results: • Provide immediate on-site containment and drive resolution of internal and external quality issues occurring at the customer facility. • Work closely with customer operators, quality engineers, and team leaders Trackside to align inspection standards and support smooth production flow. • Ensure approved master samples and reference parts are available Trackside and used as the inspection benchmark for production conformity. • Implement, communicate, and verify adherence to Quality Alerts and containment actions on the line. • Escalate quality risks promptly and transparently. • Initiate temporary/permanent fix to quality problems. • Provide timely, accurate feedback to the supplier plant on defects and trends. • Support line trials. • Global 8D reporting – using multifunctional team support. • Support structured problem-solving activities (e.g. 8D). • Identify recurring defects and drive improvement opportunities. • Support refinement of inspection methods, control plans and visual standards. This will involve working with key functional leads across the business to identify ‘what good looks like' in all of the different disciplines and building that all together into a coherent plan that can be followed by everyone in the business. Main missions and results • Work with all areas of the business to build the work streams for each functional area in support of a designated customer Program, identifying what ‘good looks like' for each team and drawing that out into something that makes sense. • Build all areas into one coherent plan, working most closely with the head of Program Management, Engineering and Manufacturing/Launch to ensure the key needs of the Program are covered. • Identify needed processes, procedures and systems along the way and taking live decisions on which ones need to be actioned as you go, and which ones can be delivered later. • Chair regular sessions with key stakeholders to manage conflicts between areas related to timing, needed outputs, process and system requirements. • Work with HR and training team to develop training programs to ensure that the methodology can be well integrated, easy to follow and becomes part of everyone's daily working life. • Be responsible for enabling lessons learnt and continuous improvement of the Product development methodology. • Work with key system providers to roll the authored methodology into a chosen software system than can integrate into or with the existing or new company systems without adding further complexity into how we manage and deliver programs. • Manage a small team of direct and indirect reports to author the processes and procedures that are identified as part of the methodology creation. Preferred skills and experience • Experience required in authoring or being part of a team who have authored a new product development process/methodology for a technology company, preferably in Automotive. • A degree (or equivalent experience) in Engineering, Manufacturing or Program management. • Must have a good technical (Engineering) and manufacturing understanding in a premium goods industry, preferably automotive. • Must have demonstrable experience (either directly or indirectly) in managing a team of people to achieve a program of work.     Main missions and results • Maintenance of all electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems on all machinery, robotics, lasers, ancillary, material handling equipment to maintain efficiency and utilisation of 95%. • Assist in implementing and maintaining proactive maintenance systems for PPM and TPM. • Route cause analysis to identify issues and provide 1st time fixes to reduce downtime. • Fault finding and repair on electrical issues and mechanical faults on hydraulics and pneumatics. • Effective and timely response to all breakdowns. • Adhere to all company HSE policies and procedures at all times. • Comply with LOTO procedures at all times. • Recommend improvements to equipment and processes to enhance quality and productivity. • Perform safety checks on all machines. • Perform routine preventative maintenance checks on all production equipment and machinery. • Replace and repair parts on machines such as bearings, filters, wiring, valves, gauges and switches. • Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments. • Replace electrical parts and equipment as required. • Observe and listen to mechanical devices in operation to locate causes of trouble. • Dismantle machinery to gain access to and remove defective parts. • Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements. • Repair or replace defective parts. • Lubricate and clean parts as required. • Start machinery to test their performance. • Implement Continuous improvement activities to assist cost down at all times. • Any other projects or tasks assigned to you by management as required. • Shift working and flexibility essential.     Artifex Interior Systems is pleased to confirm the below opportunity within our business: Maintenance Technician Working hours for this position with be varied 12-hour shifts, between 3-4 per week, alternating between days and nights (06:00-18:00 / 18:00-06:00). This averages out to 40 hours per week. Main purpose of the job A multi-skilled position working as part of the maintenance team responding to the high demands of the site in terms of general, routine and unplanned maintenance of the plant, equipment and facilities. Rapid response and rectification of problems is critical to ensure that targets are met.
    Main missions and results • Ensure adherence to all Health & Safety procedures. Be proactive in the raising of potential H&S issues and the development of personal safety awareness. • Ensuring all work is carried out in line with company policies and procedures. • Supporting production requirements working on a range of injection moulding machines of varied tonnages, for repairs and problem fault finding. • Adjustments, set-up, maintenance of laser cells, PU cells, assembly and checking automation cells. • Undertake planned service work as requested, supporting the plant start-up and shutdown procedure on a weekend rota. • Installation work and continuous improvement duties around the site is also an important function of this role.
    Preferred skills and experience Essential • City & Guilds 214 Mechanical Engineering / HNC / ONC electrical and mechanical engineering or equivalent. • NVQ 3 Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or equivalent. • Time served apprenticeship within a production / manufacturing environment.• Good mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical knowledge with ability to read diagrams and drawings.
