    Artifex Interior Systems is pleased to confirm the below opportunity within our business: Maintenance Technician Working hours for this position with be varied 12-hour shifts, between 3-4 per week, alternating between days and nights (06:00-18:00 / 18:00-06:00). This averages out to 40 hours per week. Main purpose of the job A multi-skilled position working as part of the maintenance team responding to the high demands of the site in terms of general, routine and unplanned maintenance of the plant, equipment and facilities. Rapid response and rectification of problems is critical to ensure that targets are met.
    Main missions and results • Ensure adherence to all Health & Safety procedures. Be proactive in the raising of potential H&S issues and the development of personal safety awareness. • Ensuring all work is carried out in line with company policies and procedures. • Supporting production requirements working on a range of injection moulding machines of varied tonnages, for repairs and problem fault finding. • Adjustments, set-up, maintenance of laser cells, PU cells, assembly and checking automation cells. • Undertake planned service work as requested, supporting the plant start-up and shutdown procedure on a weekend rota. • Installation work and continuous improvement duties around the site is also an important function of this role.
    Preferred skills and experience Essential • City & Guilds 214 Mechanical Engineering / HNC / ONC electrical and mechanical engineering or equivalent. • NVQ 3 Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or equivalent. • Time served apprenticeship within a production / manufacturing environment.• Good mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical knowledge with ability to read diagrams and drawings.
    • Experience of working with automation and assembly equipment.
    • Working knowledge of H&S requirements in an engineering environment.• Able to work to tight timeframes and continue to perform at a high standard under pressure.
    • Self-motivated with a desire for self-improvement.
    • Able to work successfully within a team and under own initiative.
    • Ability to find faults and problem solve. Desirable • 18th Edition Electrical Installations.

    This role is on continental shifts - 2x 07:00-19:00, 2x 19:00-07:00, followed by 4 days off.
    Main missions and results • Maintenance of all electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems on all machinery, robotics, lasers, ancillary, material handling equipment to maintain efficiency and utilisation of 95%. • Assist in implementing and maintaining proactive maintenance systems for PPM and TPM. • Route cause analysis to identify issues and provide 1st time fixes to reduce downtime. • Fault finding and repair on electrical issues and mechanical faults on hydraulics and pneumatics. • Effective and timely response to all breakdowns. • Adhere to all company HSE policies and procedures at all times. • Comply with LOTO procedures at all times. • Recommend improvements to equipment and processes to enhance quality and productivity. • Perform safety checks on all machines. • Perform routine preventative maintenance checks on all production equipment and machinery. • Replace and repair parts on machines such as bearings, filters, wiring, valves, gauges and switches. • Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments. • Replace electrical parts and equipment as required. • Observe and listen to mechanical devices in operation to locate causes of trouble. • Dismantle machinery to gain access to and remove defective parts. • Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements. • Repair or replace defective parts. • Lubricate and clean parts as required. • Start machinery to test their performance. • Implement Continuous improvement activities to assist cost down at all times. • Any other projects or tasks assigned to you by management as required. • Shift working and flexibility essential. Preferred skills and experience • NVQ level 3 in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering required. • Must have previous experience working in a high volume, high class, Automotive environment. • Experience of working with injection moulding machines. • Experience in practical mechanical / electrical engineering.
    • Demonstrate effective time management. • Experienced in Robotics. specifically, ABB 6 Axis robot / Fanuc  and PLC Programming. • Knowledge of Quality systems such as IATF16949 / ISO 9000 a distinct advantage. • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels. • Team player- flexible on colleague cover and working outside normal hours. • Prepared to accommodate emergency call out (within reasonable parameters). • Understanding of IATF16949/ISO9001 Quality standards. The role ensures supplied product meets all customer, specification and quality standard requirements, while rapidly responding to quality concerns, coordinating corrective actions with the supplier plant, and supporting continuous improvement.
    Main missions and results: • Provide immediate on-site containment and drive resolution of internal and external quality issues occurring at the customer facility. • Work closely with customer operators, quality engineers, and team leaders Trackside to align inspection standards and support smooth production flow. • Ensure approved master samples and reference parts are available Trackside and used as the inspection benchmark for production conformity. • Implement, communicate, and verify adherence to Quality Alerts and containment actions on the line. • Escalate quality risks promptly and transparently. • Initiate temporary/permanent fix to quality problems. • Provide timely, accurate feedback to the supplier plant on defects and trends. • Support line trials. • Global 8D reporting – using multifunctional team support. • Support structured problem-solving activities (e.g. 8D). • Identify recurring defects and drive improvement opportunities. • Support refinement of inspection methods, control plans and visual standards. Preferred skills and experience: • ONC (or equivalent) in Q/C Techniques. • In depth familiarity with customer requirements and quality standards. • Working knowledge of FMEA's and control plans. • Understanding of IATF16949 and ISO 9001 standards. • Process & Product Audit experience. • X-rite colour measurement. • APQP understanding. • Ability to understand engineering drawings. • Good communicator at all levels within the business. • PC skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Project. • Able to generate informative and accurate data. • Team player. Preferred skills and experience • Extensive experience in automotive manufacturing processes with a focus on plastics and injection moulding is essential for the fulfilment of this role. • Proven ability to lead complex engineering projects and cross-functional teams. • Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, SPC, MSA, and process validation techniques. • Expertise in PFMEA development and risk management.
    • Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies. • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. • Degree or equivalent in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering; advanced qualifications desirable. • Auditing experience (ISO/IATF standards) preferred.

Main missions and results Incident and Request Management • Logging and tracking user issues and requests into the company ITSM (Information Technology Service Management) Tool. • Ensure all incidents and requests are assigned with the correct priority. • Escalation of any issues that are not resolved within agreed SLAs. • Communicate clearly and respectfully with users, providing honest updates on progress and realistic timelines. • Monitoring lifecycle of incidents and requests to ensure successful resolution. • Management of any P1 Incident. • Collaboration with 3rd Party Vendors.     Main purpose of the job The Senior Supply Chain Design professional plays a critical role in shaping the long-term operational strategy of the manufacturing network. This role focuses on designing, modelling, and optimizing a resilient end to end supply chain covering sourcing, production, inventory, and distribution. Using data driven analytics and scenario modelling, the position drives strategic decisions on factory footprint, capacity, product flows, and cost to serve, ensuring the company's manufacturing operations remain competitive, scalable, and efficient. Main missions and results Manufacturing Network Strategy • Design and optimise the global and regional manufacturing footprint, including plant locations, capacity allocation, production flows, and supplier alignment. • Evaluate make versus buy scenarios, dual sourcing options, and potential insourcing/outsourcing opportunities. • Conduct long term capacity planning, including line utilisation analysis, capital investment recommendations, and throughput optimisation. • Supply Chain Modelling & Scenario Analysis • Build detailed models using tools like Llamasoft/LLamasoft, AnyLogistix, Supply Chain Guru, Python, or Excel. • Perform scenario simulations such as: new plant introduction; product or SKU rationalisation; nearshoring/offshoring decisions; inventory policy design; workforce/capacity constraints • Quantify cost, service, lead time, and risk impacts to support leadership decision making.
    Production and Inventory Strategy • Develop safety stock, cycle stock, and strategic inventory frameworks aligned with manufacturing variability and customer demand. • Analyse production sequencing, changeover strategies, and batch policies to optimise cost and output. • Partner with operations to improve OEE, reduce variability, and build scenarios for labour/capacity flexibility. Sourcing and Supplier Strategy • Recommend sourcing strategies aligned with manufacturing footprint goals. • Evaluate supplier consolidation, nearshoring, cost-to-procure,MOQ implications, and supply risk. • Support supplier transitions and qualification processes by modelling operational impacts. Cross-Functional Leadership • Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, Procurement, Finance, Quality, and S&OP teams. • Present insights and strategic recommendations to senior leadership. • Serve as a subject matter expert for supply chain design across all manufacturing divisions. Resilience, Risk & Sustainability • Identify vulnerabilities in the manufacturing network and propose mitigation: dual sourcing, plant redundancies, product re-routing, etc. • Model carbon footprint and sustainability impacts of manufacturing and logistics decisions. • Design resilient networks capable of handling demand spikes, supply disruptions, and regional regulatory changes.
    Preferred skills and experience • Proven experience in supply chain planning or logistics coordination, ideally in automotive or manufacturing environments. • Strong understanding of prototype logistics and early-phase project requirements. • Proficiency in ERP systems and data analytics; experience with BI tools preferred. • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. • Ability to work independently and lead cross-functional initiatives.
    • Degree or diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related discipline desirable. • Advanced Microsoft Excel and reporting skills; familiarity with PowerPoint and Outlook. • Self-driven, detail-oriented, and committed to continuous improvement.
