  • Alloy Wheel Technician

    Were currently recruiting for a diligent and dedicated Alloy Wheel Technicianin Inverness. Hours Full time, Monday to Thursday, 8am 5.30pm and Friday 8am - 4.30pm. 44-hour working week, overtime as required, half-hour lunch. About the role As an Arnold Clark Alloy Wheel Technician, it will be your role to carry out small repairs and paintwork to alloy wheels, as well as milling and cutting diamond-cut alloys. The right person for the role should be energetic and self-motivated. Its important that you can work on your own initiative, and have great people skills. Day-to-day duties Preparing alloy wheels for paintwork. Carrying out small alloy wheel repairs. Removing and refitting tyres. Balancing wheels after theyve been repaired. Mixing paint to apply to wheels. Applying paint products correctly and to a high standard. Essential skills A full UK driving licence. A good eye for detail. The ability to multi-task. Willingness to work on your own initiative.   • Service Manager

    Were looking for an experienced and ambitious Service Manager to work at our Inverness BMWbranch. Hours Full time, Monday Friday 8am 5:30pm (30 minuteslunch). Alternate Saturday shift, depending on branch opening hours. About the role As a Service Manager for Arnold Clark, you will have full responsibility for delivering consistently excellent customer service and making sure both the retail area and workshop are maintained to the highest standards. As well as managing and coaching staff, setting goals and objectives, and making sure youre compliant with policies and procedures, youll ensure the daily smooth running of your department and drive it to even greater success. This role would suit an experienced automotive manager with lots of fantastic ideas and a proactive, positive attitude. Day-to-day duties Managing a service team of technicians, advisors and support staff, and making sure productivity and efficiency targets are achieved. Making sure all the servicing work that takes place in your branch is carried out correctly, competently and on time. Delivering excellent customer service at all times, resolving any issues quickly and to the satisfaction of the customer. Ensuring we always remain compliant with company, DVSA, manufacturer and health and safety policies. Reviewing and analysing department KPI and financial reports, and motivating staff to exceed objectives. Essential skills Previous experience in a similar role. Strong communication and influencing skills. A passion for delivering great customer service. High levels of literacy and numeracy. Leadership skills and the ability to motivate your team to achieve success. Good organisational and IT skills. High levels of accuracy and attention to detail. The ability to stay calm under pressure. An understanding of how to identify and maximise sales opportunities, remaining honest, ethical and compliant at all times. A full clean driving licence held for a minimum of one year. Nice to have (but not essential) An understanding of modern motor vehicle technology.     Were looking for a capable and thorough MOT Tester to work at our busy Renault/Daciabranch in Preston. Hours Full time, Monday Thursday, 8am 5.30pm, Friday 8am 4.30pm and alternativeSaturday's 8am 12pm. All overtime paid at time and a half. About the role As an Arnold Clark MOT Tester, you will be able to work to the highest standards according to the DVSA, carrying out repairs or replacing parts as needed. The ability to follow procedures and instructions and a high level of attention to detail is required, and youll be able to work safely and efficiently both on your own and as part of a successful, professional team. Day-to-day duties Carrying out MOT tests in accordance with DVSA testing standards. Repairing or replacing broken or defective parts and resolving defects. Maintaining equipment and making sure tools are in good condition. Following checklists to ensure all procedures are completed correctly. Completing documentation to the required standard. Essential skills A full UK driving licence. A full and clean MOT record. Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy. Ability to maintain equipment and tools. Able to carry out procedures and checks to a high standard and complete paperwork accurately. Ability to work as a team player and on your own initiative.
