    Role description:

    Our Water team is tackling some of the UK's most technically challenging projects and AMP8 programmes. We are renowned for our expertise in delivering these complex schemes and collaborate closely with some of the country's most prominent and well-known water companies and contractors.

    We have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Civil Engineer to lead a growing team supporting our multiple Frameworks across the UK covering Wastewater & Clean water projects both non-infra and infrastructure. The role will require client liaison, technical leadership and governance and the ability to work effectively across organisational boundaries, both internally and externally, and offers a pathway towards senior management positions.

    Role accountabilities:
    Manage a portfolio of multi-disciplinary projects and/or multi-scheme programmes of work. Build and retain collaborative relationships with the client, stakeholders and other design disciplines Manage quality processes and technical assurance in line with company systems Plan, direct and control tasks, people, resources and outputs Provide technical leadership and direction, taking a proactive role in developing them to their full potential, leading by example to achieve sector/divisional goals and championing a quality, innovative and entrepreneurial culture. Undertake Line Manager duties and pastoral care to team members Contributing to the resolution of project issues and providing guidance and support to other team members Promote a culture that is proactive on Safety, Health, Quality and Sustainability matters Promote a culture of innovation, helping to develop engineering technology and continuous improvement systems Performing other duties as required from time to time by your Client Manager or Arcadis Senior Leadership Team Work with other Arcadis teams to foster collaboration, ensuring the collective knowledge and experience is shared across all
    Qualifications & Experience:
    Degree in Civil Engineering or other directly related degree Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status and membership of a professional institution such as ICE, CIWEM, IWO A technical leader, able to provide direction support and motivate a diverse team Experience of working on complex design and delivery frameworks and / or design and build projects Is digitally curious and/or proficient Able to communicate and work effectively with people from other partner organisations, backgrounds and disciplines, utilising their knowledge and experience to best effect A working knowledge of managing a project and programme with contract and commercial understanding

    We have an exciting opportunity for a Civil Engineer to help support our multiple Frameworks across the UK. The role will require input into Optioneering, Feasibility, Outline and Detailed design covering Wastewater & Clean water Infrastructure and Non-Infrastructure projects and is a significant opportunity for the right person to grow their experience and skills, to get involved with the UK's future water and environmental improvement schemes and to join the growing Arcadis UK

    Role accountabilities:

    Qualifications & Experience:

    With AMP8 in mind, we are actively recruiting for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our MEICA team. You'll join a dedicated team of professionals where you'll contribute and apply your skills to stimulating projects in the clean water & wastewater sector, both regionally and across the UK.

Ensuring safety of yourself and others through design leadership and actions. Technical delivery of multi-disciplinary projects, in a Design Lead capacity where assigned, using latest digital design techniques. Identify and develop innovative and optimised technical solutions based on client needs and drivers Lead and co-ordinate work with multi-disciplinary teams (e.g., process, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and ICA) Establish and grow relationships with clients and capital alliance partners on project technical, commercial and progress matters Ensuring projects meet required technical, legislative, quality, safety and environmental standards and objectives. Mentoring and performance development responsibility for assigned staff Capturing key project and technical knowledge, including innovations.     Qualifications & Experience:
    Degree in Electrical Engineering or other directly related degree Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status and membership of a professional institution such as IET, InstMC or CIWEM or working towards and nearing application. Significant experience and track record in technical delivery of process plant systems on complex water industry engineering projects preferably related to water and wastewater industry. Experience of working on design and construct projects using digital design Technical / Discipline Team leader with collaborative behaviours Feasibility to detailed design stage delivery experience

    Role description:

    Our Water Management team is seeking multiple Principal & Senior Wastewater Modellers. In this position, you will lead the development of wastewater models, manage key project aspects, and work closely with clients to build and expand Arcadis's project portfolio through strategic client interactions. Collaboration, proactive problem-solving, and creative thinking are central to our team's approach, and will be a fundamental part of your role.

    Role accountabilities:
    Deliver a range of wastewater infrastructure and non-infrastructure modelling projects, effectively managing tasks of various scales. Conduct technical reviews of wastewater models, oversee model build and verification of sewer networks, oversee survey specifications and management, develop strategic solutions to mitigate flooding and reduce CSO spills Provide support to designers at concept outline and detailed design stages Review and enhance technical reports and presentations to uphold high-quality standards. Resolve technical modelling challenges on projects and contribute to advancing the team's technical expertise Ensure project components, including reports, drawings, specifications, and studies, comply with relevant standards and project requirements Collaborate closely with clients, providing clear explanations and ensuring they understand model outputs and processes. Support and guide junior team members, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment. Assist with preparation of bids including narratives, cost estimates and programmes. Coordinate project elements, managing resource allocation, quality assurance, subcontractor interactions, and client feedback. Work alongside specialists from other engineering and environmental disciplines to ensure project integrity. Liaise effectively with the Project Director or Manager and the client to support project progress. Foster a collaborative work environment by actively supporting the professional development of both yourself and your team, guiding junior members to reach their full potential.
    Qualifications & Experience:
    Advanced expertise in hydraulic modelling for a range of wastewater infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects Skilled in team and stakeholder coordination and management Proficient in InfoWorks ICM HADES knowledge would be advantageous Competent in using relevant GIS software packages Chartered member of a relevant professional institution (e.g., ICE or CIWEM) Proven experience in model quality assurance procedures Strong report-writing skills Advanced abilities in spreadsheet-based data analysis Coding experience desirable

    Arcadis are looking for an Experienced Lead Driller based at our Thornbury facility. The position will involve working throughout the UK across a variety of sites and sectors including manufacturing, petrochemical and construction environments.

    Role accountabilities:

    The successful candidate would be expected to work independently, demonstrating leadership, and taking a key role in the development of Assistant Drillers, and Health and Safety Stewardship.

    Qualifications & Experience:
    Experience acting in the role of Lead Driller - preferably holding an NVQ Level 2 in Land Drilling. - BDA audit would also be beneficial. Experience in Logging to BS5930 and knowledge of Eurocode 7 would be beneficial. A full, clean driving licence (Category B) is essential, supplementary entitlement for C1+E and/or C preferable. Valid CSCS Card. It would also be beneficial if the applicant holds Personal Track Safety (PTS) accreditations or an SPA/PIA training card.
    The position will involve working away throughout the week with accommodation provided directly by the company and a daily subsistence allowance provided.

    Please note that although most of the work will be away, daily commuting to Thornbury may be required at times; therefore, the successful candidate will reside within a reasonable commute from the depot.

    Arcadis are looking for a new Assistant driller / Site Labourer to be based from our Thornbury facility. The position will involve working throughout the UK across a variety of sites and sectors including manufacturing, petrochemical, and construction environments.

    Whilst beneficial, no previous experience in land drilling is necessary as this is an entry-level role with great scope for promotion through to lead driller in the future, this role requires someone who enjoys working outside in a wide variety of site environments.

    The role will require you to travel to sites across the UK during the working week and stay local to the drilling site Monday-Friday. PPE and Single Accommodation/Travel expenses will be provided.

    Please note that, although the majority of work will be away, daily commuting to the depot will be required; therefore, the successful candidate will reside within a reasonable commute from Thornbury.

    Role accountabilities:

    As an Assistant Driller, you will operate in a two-person team supporting the Lead Driller to complete drilling projects across the UK and occasionally in Europe. This will include driving to the drilling site, setting up and advancing boreholes using installing a range of drilling equipment, collecting ground samples, installing & monitoring of equipment, making the drilling site work areas safe, following H&S procedures, and other ad hoc duties. You will receive training from day one to become a competent Assistant Driller and will be enrolled in/on an NVQ on completion of your probationary period.
    For those wishing to progress further in-house training, apprenticeships, and NVQ's in Land Drilling and receive training from day one will be available to allow you to work towards becoming a qualified Lead Driller.

    Qualifications & Experience:

    You must be a motivated person, who enjoys hands-on, outdoor jobs. A background of education or working in a labour-intensive role such as ex-military, construction, or agriculture would be advantageous. A driving license is essential. Ability to stay away from home Monday-Friday. Single occupancy accommodation, Travel and Food allowance will be provided. Basic IT Skills The following competencies/accreditations would be beneficial: CSCS, SPA/PIA, Personal Track Safety (PTS) but if not held the required training will be provided in any event by Arcadis.
