Keep tabs on deliveries throughout the day and jump in quickly when something needs sorting. Help new starters settle in by showing them the ropes, from our Safe Systems of Work to key Health & Safety basics. Share daily or weekly priorities so the whole team knows what’s happening and what we’re aiming for, excellent handovers and communications are key. Work side‑by‑side with the team, helping divvy up tasks and supporting everyone to crack on. Carry out alcohol testing when needed to keep our operation safe and compliant. Tackle small vehicle repairs yourself and get servicing booked in when it’s due. Chat with Drivers and handle any questions or issues in a friendly, helpful way. Work to tranship and reload vehicles keeping everything flowing smoothly. Complete in‑house reports accurately and on time, helping us keep the wheels turning behind the scenes. Effective delivery monitoring and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to react quickly to issues throughout the day. Experience supporting and training new starters, including knowledge of Safe Systems of Work and core Health & Safety practices. Confident communicator, able to share priorities clearly, provide solid handovers, and maintain smooth operational communication. Hands‑on team player, capable of organising daily tasks, supporting colleagues, and working collaboratively. Basic vehicle maintenance skills, including carrying out minor repairs and arranging timely servicing. At the AO Plastics Recycling Plant, we are focused on creating industry leading product streams for our customers. Here's What You Can Expect To Be Doing • Reporting into the Plant Manager, you’ll be responsible for co-ordinating loading and unloading trailers of recycled plastics (in 2 metre big bags and loose tip). You will be managing/coordinating yard activity, liaising with the transport and operational teams, and occasionally jumping onto a forklift to help your team deliver service excellence.
    • Managing the workload of a dedicated yard FLT driver, yard cleaner, whilst also liaising with the operational team to divert resources at peak times. At times, you will help lead the operational team within the facility, covering for holidays and sickness.
    • Ensuring stock is kept safe, tidy and weather protected in designated yard locations, in accordance with permits and Environment Agency regulations.
    • Ensuring adherence to all company policies and processes. Drive continuous improvement, emphasising safety, quality, efficiency, productivity, cost reduction and morale.
    • Actively participate in Daily Shift briefings, using and completing reports, monitoring safety, whilst ensuring all KPI’s are met. Able to identify areas of improvement, or challenges which require support or project teams to overcome.
    • Demonstrate best in practice loading and securing techniques are always used, with load information (including photographic evidence) is recorded on AO’s systems, limiting risk of movement in transit.
    • Complete in full all required paperwork for inbound and outbound shipments, both nationwide and internationally.
    • Ensure all shipments comply with customer specific requirements.
    • Lead 5S housekeeping, accident investigation, and safety audits and related activities.
    • Deliver training, foster a positive culture and manage your team’s performance, dealing with HR related challenges, in conjunction with onsite HR teams. A Few Things About You • Experience in supervising teams (min. 2 years), ideally in an operational setting.
    • Working rotating morning and afternoon shifts, Monday-Friday
    • ILM level 2 or equivalent qualification, with a desire to advance with AO supported qualifications. • FLT trained

    • Good communication skills.
    • Ability to think logically and decisively to effectively provide solutions.
    • Ability to work on own initiative or part of a team.

You’ll be leading a team of engineers and overseeing all maintenance and engineering activity on-site. AO is known as the destination for electricals, but we’re also one of the UK’s biggest recyclers of fridges and other Large Domestic Appliances (LDAs). We turn old fridges, washing machines, tumble dryers and dishwashers into valuable resources. Our recycling plant sets a new standard in recovering metals, plastics, and gases. The whole process is fully automated and done using a series of screens, magnetic separators, and air classifiers. Pretty cool, right? Here's What You Can Expect To Be Doing • Lead, manage and develop a team of 17 colleagues - making sure they’re engaged and always performing to their best
    • Work closely with the Head of Engineering & Innovation to develop and deliver the strategic engineering plan
    • Oversee all maintenance activity including Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), defect rectification and breakdown responses.
    • Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) studies to identify failures and to implement improvements
    • Scoping, planning and organising the delivery of capital engineering projects, making sure we’re on track against schedules and budgets
    • Promote a positive Health & Safety culture across the site, and make sure all engineering work is carried out safely

    As our MVNO Operations Lead, you’ll take ownership of the end‑to‑end operational delivery of our mobile services. You’ll make sure everything runs smoothly, from launch through to scale, driving great customer experiences and operational excellence at every step.

Work with internal teams to quickly understand and resolve operational issues. Build strong relationships with network providers, platform vendors, and key third‑party partners. Make sure we’re compliant with all relevant industry standards and regulations (such as Ofcom and GDPR). Programme Delivery Own the operational workstreams for the MVNO launch and ongoing improvements. Partner with product, IT and commercial teams to deliver on time and to plan. Set and track SLAs, KPIs, and operational performance metrics. Customer Experience & Support Support our customer service teams so they can deliver great experiences for MVNO customers. Put processes in place to manage escalations, resolve issues, and maintain service continuity. Look for opportunities to improve customer satisfaction and streamline operations. Commercial & Financial Oversight Support commercial teams with pricing, margin analysis, and cost optimisation. Manage operational budgets and vendor contracts. Provide clear, regular reporting and insights to senior stakeholders. Risk & Compliance Maintain strong risk management across MVNO operations. Own business continuity and disaster recovery planning for the MVNO environment. Stay across telecom regulations to ensure we remain fully compliant. A Few Things About You Experience in MVNO or telecom operations, ideally within a consumer‑facing environment. Strong understanding of mobile network infrastructure, provisioning, and billing systems. Confident in managing third‑party vendors and network partners. Excellent project management skills and a collaborative approach. Analytical, curious, and always looking for ways to improve. Knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as Ofcom and GDPR is a bonus.
