    We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Despatch Operative to join our busy warehouse team. The primary function of the despatch department is to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of products to customers both domestically and internationally.You will work closely with internal sales, accounts, and courier partners to ensure orders are processed accurately and dispatched on time.Key Responsibilities Order Fulfilment: Picking and packing orders using delivery notes and digital picking systems, ensuring packaging is secure and compliant with environmental standards (including PPWR requirements). Quality Control: Inspecting outgoing products for damage or defects prior to dispatch. Shipping Documentation: Preparing labels, delivery notes, and manifests in line with courier and customs regulations. Loading & Manual Handling: Safely loading pallets and parcels onto delivery vehicles, either manually or using Material Handling Equipment (MHE). Inventory Accuracy: Reporting stock discrepancies to maintain accurate inventory levels. Health & Safety: Maintaining a clean and organised despatch area to ensure a safe working environment and reduce risks such as slips, trips, and falls. Skills & Experience Required Previous experience within a warehouse or distribution environment (preferred). Physically fit and able to undertake manual handling, including lifting and standing for extended periods. Strong attention to detail, with high accuracy when reading SKU codes and matching delivery information. IT literate and confident using handheld scanners and basic computer systems. Counterbalance forklift licence (desirable but not essential).
