Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Nomad Digital is the world leader in broadband communications to public transport. Its offerings to rolling stock manufacturers, vehicle owners and operators fall naturally into three categories: Core Networking Solutions including through-vehicle wired and wireless LAN systems and vehicle-to-ground radio and satellite communications; Passenger Facing Solutions encompassing Internet access, Advertising and Passenger Infotainment platforms, and Operational Solutions including Cybersecurity, Remote Monitoring, and performance data transfer among others. These solutions rely on a combination of Nomad’s own software and hardware, and networking solutions and computing products from third parties. The main responsibilities for the person taking on this role are: In collaboration with the Head of On-Train Systems and the Connectivity Product Manager help to define the HW strategy in alignment with the 3-year planned roadmap, taking into consideration the product lifecycle, the technological evolution and/or release of new relevant standards and regulations. Redact technical specification documentation for new and replacement of end-of-life HW to be sent to external HW suppliers. Follow-up the market, our competitors and HW suppliers’ product roadmap – identifying potential solutions that line-up with projects or broader internal roadmap strategy. Gather inputs from costumers, sales & service teams and other partners to identify new significant requirements to be considered in the roadmap planning.
