We’re looking for motivated individuals who can inspire and engage young students while enjoying a rewarding and educational experience themselves.We’re hiring English Language Teachers for a fixed-term summer contract.The Role: As an EFL Teacher at ALPADIA, you’ll help students achieve personal and academic growth in an immersive, multicultural camp environment. You’ll deliver well-planned, engaging lessons that align with our teaching standards, ensuring a safe and fun learning atmosphere and contributing to an overall positive camp experience.This is a fantastic opportunity for an outstanding English teacher to develop their career with a leading organisation.Paid training is provided, offering support and development to help you succeed in this role.Key responsibilitiesTeaching Ensure all language tuition is appropriate to a camp environment and in line with the ALPADIA curriculum.Have and demonstrate a sound knowledge and awareness of the use of English and the linguistic systems underlying it, providing appropriate models of both spoken and written English.Ensure the content of the lessons considers the course objectives, the learning needs and cultural backgrounds of the students.Ensure each lesson leads to relevant learning outcomes, which are made known to students, and which are achieved through a coherent sequence of activities.Show initiative to ensure the syllabus is adapted to meet the specific needs of our students, both at a class and individual level.Ensure that there is an appropriate variety of teaching techniques, activities, task types which motivate and appeal to different learner types.Ensure that there are opportunities for differentiation.Ensure that the ALPADIA teaching resources are exploited to support learning outcomes and maximise learning.Ensure students are engaged and a positive learning atmosphere is created.Ensure that students are praised appropriately and encouraged to experiment with the language.Ensure that there are opportunities for production.Encourage the sole use of the target language in classrooms wherever possible, both from the students and the other teachers.Ensure students receive appropriate and timely feedback on their performance during the lesson.Ensure lessons include activities to evaluate whether learning is taking place.Ensure that the outside world is brought into the classroom with authentic resources and examples when appropriate.Ensure learning is promoted by the effective management of the classroom environment and resources.Always maintain proper levels of student discipline, safety and welfare, highlighting any issues to the Camp Manager or Academic Manager.Liaise with the Camp Manager and the Academic Manager to resolve any instances of issues, questions or concerns raised by students, agents, parents or other stakeholders.General Always represent ALPADIA in the best conceivable way, being polite and friendly to the students, both inside and outside of the classroom.Provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers at all times.Understand procedural documents and ALPADIA policies relevant to the role.Be familiar with all British Council inspection criteria relevant to the department.Actively participate in all staff meetings as necessary.Attend and where necessary contribute to, weekly Professional Development Sessions in a spirit of positive engagement.Be proactive about both your personal and professional development including attendance/completion of all compulsory training sessions and to actively participate in any training offered.Engage positively in a reflective teaching approach and developmental observation process, embracing an open-door classroom policy.Write lesson plans when requested by the Academic Manager for formal observations, inspections or professional development purposes.Arrive at the centre and ensure all lessons start and finish on time.Complete the attendance within 5 minutes of each lesson starting and report any absences according to camp procedures.Assist with placement testing as required.Read, understand and sign any relevant risk assessments as required.Undertake other duties as deemed necessary by line manager.

We are looking for highly motivated people, who have the ability to engage and inspire young students, and who are looking for an enriching and educational experience themselves. Your role:Safeguard and promote the wellbeing of all students in our care. Liaise with taxi drivers/firms to ensure vehicles are met at the airport/train station in a timely manner. Ensure students are met at the arrivals gate on Sundays and accompanied at all times until they reach the vehicle. Ensure students are accompanied at all times after reaching their departure point on Saturdays. Help students to check in on Saturday and take them to the departures gate, liaising with airline/airport staff on their behalf, as necessary. Assist Unaccompanied Minors with their check-in/arrival procedure and ensure a safe handover of students to airport staff Students are generally expected to carry/roll their own luggage, but please assist them if necessary. Communicate in a professional and clear manner with taxi drivers/firms to arrange suitable pick up and drop off points, which will vary from terminal to terminal. Monitor all arrivals on Sunday and departures on Saturday, liaising closely with the Transfer Manager, transport partners and other stakeholders to manage any flight delays/other issues that may occur. Study the transfer schedule sent through by the Transfer Manager in advance of each weekend, highlighting any discrepancies or concerns in advance of transfer days. Stick to your predicted working hours, sent through by the Transfer Manager in advance of each weekend, and liaise with him/her on the day of transfers should any unexpected events make varying these hours necessary. Do not unilaterally work different hours unless you discuss it with the Transfer Manager first.  Always represent ALPADIA in a professional manner, working directly with the Transfer Manager to predict, highlight and resolve any issues that may arise.

    Your profile:Essential:A high degree of IT competency - Outlook & MS Office (specifically Excel)  Proven experience in a pastoral, welfare, safeguarding, or residential management role with children or young people. Experience working in a summer camp, boarding school, or youth programme setting. Demonstrated ability to manage safeguarding cases, welfare incidents, and behavioural issues professionally and sensitively. Experience leading and supporting a team of staff responsible for student welfare and supervision. Excellent understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and health and safety procedures. Strong communication, listening, and interpersonal skills. Ability to build positive, trusting relationships with children, staff, and parents. Competence in managing confidential information and accurate record-keeping. Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritise under pressure. Knowledge of emergency and incident management in a residential environment. Ability to provide effective guidance and emotional support to both students and staff. Relevant qualification or equivalent experience in education, youth work, social care, psychology, or pastoral support. Empathetic, approachable, and professional. Calm, patient, and discreet when dealing with sensitive issues. Strong leadership presence with a supportive and positive attitude. Reliable, responsible, and committed to student well-being. Flexible and adaptable to long hours and changing schedules in a residential environment. Desirable:Experience working in an international or EFL (English as a Foreign Language) summer camp. Qualification or additional training in mental health first aid, counselling, or well-being management. Experience in staff training or delivering safeguarding briefings. Knowledge of another language. Experience using administrative or welfare reporting systems. Full driving licence (for welfare-related transport or hospital visits). Experience organising well-being initiatives or inclusion-focused activities.

We are looking for highly motivated people, who have the ability to engage and inspire young students, and who are looking for an enriching and educational experience themselves.This is a key role to ensure: the academic and co-curricular programmes in the camp meet ALPADIA’s high standards, quality welfare arrangements are made for our students and staff are led by example.Key responsibilities:To achieve optimum management of the camp, the Camp Manager should ensure the following key responsibilities are carried out fully and competently. Staff ManagementManage all staff effectively and respectfully, considering their personal development and providing all necessary support, to ensure they contribute to a high-quality programme that delivers on Alpadia’s aims for its courses. Lead daily meetings to drive performance and relay important messages. Lead and assist with the training and induction of staff members. Assist the regional manager with the performance management of staff in cases of deficient performance and disciplinary action.Student ManagementSafeguard and promote the wellbeing of all students in our care. Act as Designated Safeguarding Staff. Line manage all staff, including the Night-time Supervisor, to ensure Alpadia’s welfare provision is high quality, with all staff able to implement all Alpadia policies, so students can enjoy all parts of Alpadia’s camps in a safe and inclusive atmosphere. Respond personally to all emergencies that may endanger students and staff and/or put Alpadia’s reputation at risk.CommunicationCommunicate effectively with all stakeholders in our camps, ensuring the host school and external partners find Alpadia to be a professional and respectful partner, parents/agents are kept fully up to date with all crucial elements of their student’s stay with us via our Sales and Admissions team and your line managers are aware of all key developments in the camp. AdministrationEnsure the administration, in terms of weekend check in/out class lists, registers and pocket money etc, is well organised and delivered to ensure the smooth running of the camp and follows all Alpadia procedures and policies. Lead and contribute towards managing the camp telephone, email inbox and record keeping. RelationshipsManage your working relationships professionally and sensitively, providing support and feedback to your camp management team. Work closely with our school/college provider to maintain our existing positive relationship. Nurture a positive camp environment where employees feel supported and motivated to do their best. Financial ControlEnsure the financial procedures in the camp are handled sensitively and professionally, strictly following Alpadia’s rules and taking full responsibility for the bank card and cash held at the camp. Ensure all expenditure is controlled tightly, taking a lead to protect Alpadia from unnecessary spending at all times.TransfersTake overall in-camp responsibility for the inbound and outbound airport transfers of students. The transfer manager will prepare the weekend airport schedule prior to the Camp Manager delivering a Friday night departure meeting with any students departing the next day. The Camp Manager will need a good understanding of Alpadia’s transfer processes to answer any student/parent questions.
    Qualifications
