    Location: Belfast, Northern Ireland We have a great opportunity for a Warehouse Operative to join an experienced team, providing a first-class service at our flour milling site.    Key Accountabilities Operate the Packing Line in accordance with operational, food/feed & safety procedures. Carry out warehouse and production duties (including use of fork lift truck) in accordance with operational & safety procedures. Carousel bagged Flour Production in accordance with Quality Systems and Standards. Ensure breakdown/faults are communicated to the Engineers. The timely and accurate completion of all paperwork relevant to quality and integrity systems. Effective use of WMS to ensure accurate stock control, picking & loading is achieved at all times. Ensure in process CCP’s checked and records maintained. Carry out and record, food checks and health and safety checks; reporting any issues found. Maintain and improve the packing and warehouse area’s cleanliness and hygiene standards; ensuring a clean as you go approach at all times. The Right Person A great customer focus with a flexible and adaptable approach. Self-motivated and able to work on your own initiative, be punctual and reliable. Forklift licence (desirable) Computer literate Understanding of food production would be advantageous Use of Mechanical Handling Equipment, Fork Lift Trucks and Shunters where appropriate to load pallets onto vehicles safely and efficiently to ensure customer deliveries go out on time and in good condition. Interested in running the packing equipment to pack a target average of 300 bags per hour in accordance with the daily/weekly production plan. Read Less

In this role, the successful candidate will primarily service our flour customers, loading, delivering and unloading our products.
      Key Accountabilities Operating to procedures as defined within site quality, environmental and health and safety systems and standards. Working proactively in line with the Company Zero Harm and Safety First strategy. Operating the vehicle in accordance with current legislation. Discharging bulk flour and semolina in accordance with our company safe operating procedures. Completing regular safety checks on vehicles and report any issues in a timely manner to the appropriate colleagues. Conducting dynamic risk assessments of delivery sites and premises to ensure safe working for self and others; reporting back any hazards/unsafe practices. Maintaining clean and tidy vehicles, including inside the cab and taking good care of vehicles when operating. Accurate completion of all relevant paperwork. Delivering a high standard of customer service and to be a positive representative of Allied Mills at all times. Delivering Allied Mills products on time and in full within the agreed time windows.     Overview of role Company: Allied Mills  Role: Site Operative Location: Manchester Hours: 38.5 rotating shift pattern (days and nights) We have a great opportunity for a Site Operative to join an experienced team, providing a first-class service on behalf of our flour mill in Manchester. As key member of the Milling Team, the successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of consistently high quality products, in a safe, efficient and cost-effective environment. As well as all aspects of production from; blending and testing of finished flour, food safety checks, mill maintenance, implementing milling best practice and seeking continuous improvement. Key Accountabilities Carry out Mill Food/Feed Safety Checks which include the HACCP Critical Control Points (CCP’s.) Support the Miller with the daily running of the Mill which includes carrying out planned milling maintenance. E.g. Cleaning out sifters, purifiers and roller mills. Monitor all Mill processes in the control room using the computer system and respond to, rectify (first fix) and report all faults. Self-manage holidays and cover for shift changes. Warehouse support duties to include Flour Packing, Forklift and Re-mill. Supporting Weighbridge cover when required Support laboratory with out of hours QA checks to maintain product quality. Actively contribute to site standards and respective internal and external audits. Ensuring a clean as you go approach at all times. Demonstrate the ‘Safety First’ approach at all times. Being proactive with hazard reporting, working with site team to target Zero Harm. Expect to take part in UK flour millers correspondence course with the aim to complete the 4 modules within 5 years.
