    Location: Corby (On Site) Contract Type: Permanent Shift pattern: Monday to Friday 06:30 - 14:00 and 14:00 - 21:30(competitive salary + shift allowance) The Opportunity This role provides the chance to keep our operations running smoothly by responding quickly to issues, completing repairs and maintaining high equipment uptime. You’ll take ownership of HVAC, lighting and electrical systems across the site, manage spare parts and support projects from installation through to completion. Working across multiple locations, you’ll collaborate with Operations, Offices, Facilities and Projects teams, engage with suppliers and contractors, and ensure all work meets Health & Safety standards. You’ll also act as a first responder for key building systems and contribute to continuous improvement, helping to enhance performance and reliability across the facility. What You Will Be Doing Provide rapid response to operational and office‑related issues, carrying out repairs or adjustments to ensure maximum equipment uptime, safety and efficiency. Support the departmental/project shift manager with the development and delivery of continuous improvement initiatives. Prioritise and attend to issues across multiple locations, liaising with operators and managers as needed. Take ownership of workshop and office activities, including spares management, procedural improvements and sourcing materials. Provide full cradle‑to‑grave support and management of all site HVAC, lighting and electrical infrastructure. Manage and control spare parts usage, including supplier engagement for quotations and availability. Identify improvement opportunities, develop proposals and implement solutions that enhance operations, office environments and facilities performance. Oversee contractors, suppliers and internal resources — allocating work, preparing specifications and ensuring delivery to agreed standards. Ensure all work complies with Health & Safety policies, legislation and site requirements. Communicate clearly and appropriately with all relevant stakeholders. Work closely with Offices, Operations, Facilities and Projects teams to maintain seamless collaboration. Provide coaching, mentoring, training and best‑practice sharing within the Facilities team. Maintain responsibility for site HVAC and electrical documentation, plans, testing and equipment monitoring. Act as first responder for breakdowns and maintenance of goods/passenger lifts, powered doors/shutters, dock levellers and other building equipment. Support large‑scale project work involving new HVAC systems, lighting or electrical distribution boards, including procurement activity. Liaise effectively with insurance inspectors during on‑site assessments and related works. What You’ll Bring A recognised trade apprenticeship or equivalent technical training and experience City & Guilds (or equivalent) electrical qualifications Strong background in HVAC maintenance Experience in electrical installation, testing, monitoring and compliance Ability to work safely at height and follow all safety procedures Good computer literacy, including MS Office and Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) systems Electrical and mechanical maintenance experience across warehouse and office environments Proven experience working under pressure in fast‑paced distribution, operational or manufacturing settings Hands-on experience with warehouse equipment, including fault-finding and repair across electronics, industrial electrical systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, motors and gearboxes A strong track record of effective fault diagnosis and problem resolution Self‑managing with excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively Confident communicator, able to engage with stakeholders at all levels Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills to evaluate technical and logistics issues Ability to build effective relationships across functions and cultures Demonstrable influencing skills and confidence to challenge constructively Collaborative mindset with the ability to generate and share ideas within a team Consistently professional attitude and presentation Commitment to implementing and upholding high Health & Safety standards We Are RS We’ve been solving industry problems for over 80 years.
