The Impact You Will Have Reporting to the Regional Team Leader General Liability, Regional Unit London, you will underwrite profitable new and renewal business to meet the Liability targets and in accordance with underwriting guidelines and underwriting authority. You will negotiate terms and conditions and take ownership of your own key clients as well as develop and maintain strong relationships with our broking and client partners in coordination with our distribution/client relationship team. Some of your specific responsibilities could include: Underwrite new and renewal accounts to meet top and bottom line targets. Negotiate participation, pricing and terms and conditions with brokers. Proactively manage exposure and capacity. Proactively support acquisition of new business and retention of existing business. Contribute to the development and execution of the regional Underwriting strategy for Liability. Proactively liaise with Market Management & Distribution on market management initiatives. Positively represent Allianz Commercial externally to the market. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key brokers, clients and other relevant stakeholders. What You’ll Bring to the Role At least 5 years’ experience underwriting profitable business in the Liability segment of large corporate international insurance. Recognized relationships with brokers at peer group level and well established within market. Specialised understanding of regional / local Liability insurance markets and multi-national programmes. Ability to assess risk inherent exposures and natural hazards relevant to the line of business. Ability to analyse current performance against benchmarks applying how the market operates and functions, the business needs and customer needs. Ability to design, develop and implement consistent, robust wordings. Excellent understanding of policy administration life cycle, information collection, policy issuance, premium bookings, credit control, cancellation. Excellent communication skills and ability to influence and motivate others to act, without executive authority.
