The Impact You Will HaveBased in London and reporting directly to the Director UK Global & Specialty you will be in charge of developing and executing the regional strategy for Large Corporate Property in the UK business. Our Property business includes Political Violence and Terrorism. In this role, you will manage the Regional Property team and portfolio to ensure the successful achievement of the global targets. With strong ties to the Global Head of Property you will also support the global strategy to ensure the successful achievement of Allianz Commercial targets. This is a market facing position and you will be the main contact person for brokers and clients working with the Property team in the region, jointly with Market Management. Some of your specific responsibilities could include: Lead and manage the regional underwriting team including direct reports and matrix management of functional reports. Ensure underwriters comply with underwriting strategy, appetite, authority and pricing strength. Support the development of the Global Underwriting strategy, in line with the Global Chief Underwriting Office. Steer and control the regional business portfolio to drive achievement of financial targets. Proactively liaise with functional areas to review performance of end-to-end underwriting life cycle. Work closely with Market Management, Claims and other product lines to achieve key marketing strategies, including cross-selling. Ensure underwriting consistency and underwriting discipline and adherence to all corporate guidelines and authority levels, including Rules and Principles, Underwriting Authorities, corporate governance rules, and local regulatory framework. Proactively support the development and implementation of new and/or modified products. Maintain executive contacts and accompany the underwriting of all core or strategic accounts. Support the acquisition of new business and retention of existing business (including client and broker negotiations where necessary). Coordinate with local market management to drive successful execution of strategic plan. Communicate local business strategy externally.
