So, as we shape a more resourceful, less wasteful world, we build careers too.About the jobAs our eBusiness Marketing Manager for the Northern Europe Cluster, you will own and drive the eBusiness marketing strategy to accelerate the adoption, usage and commercial success of our digital ecosystem. This includes the Customer & Partner Portal, Partner Web‑Shops, EDI solutions and the digital Product Catalogue.You will work at the crossroads of digital marketing, strategy, and business development, driving growth together with Sales, Marketing, GSS teams and cluster management.Your mission is to increase traffic, activation, online buying customers and overall eBusiness performance, while continuously enhancing the customer experience.In this role, you will:Develop and implement the cluster eBusiness marketing strategy, aligned with global priorities and key stakeholders.Promote our eCommerce offering to customers and partners, driving engagement, activation and usage.Execute targeted digital marketing activities supporting lead generation, online sales and customer onboarding.Co‑create relevant content with Excellence Areas and GSS Marketing.Support personalized cross‑selling and upselling initiatives.Monitor, analyse and report eBusiness performance, recommending actions for continuous improvement.Enhance the end‑to‑end customer journey by gathering insights and driving platform and process improvements.Maintain and optimize the digital product catalogue, including updates and localization.Support the execution of the GSS Online Sales roadmap at cluster level.Train and enable internal teams and external users.Ensure compliance with GDPR and digital governance best practices.Manage allocated budgets and report on ROI for eBusiness initiatives.This role requires high autonomy, strong collaboration with cross‑functional teams and the ability to influence without direct reporting lines. You will travel within the cluster on a quarterly basis, mainly between Germany and the Nordics.What you knowUniversity degree in marketing, business, or a related field.Proven experience in digital marketing and eCommerce, ideally in a B2B environment.High level of expertise with CMS, CRM, marketing automation, SEO/SEA, analytics, eCommerce platforms, EDI and Customer Portal tools.Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into insights and action.Ability to work cross‑functionally, influence without direct authority, and drive initiatives in complex environments.Experience collaborating with international teams and multiple stakeholders (Sales, Marketing, Digital).Excellent communication skills in English; additional Northern European languages are an advantage.For this role you can be based in our offices in Hamburg (Germany), Camberley (United Kingdom), Breda (Netherlands) or Copenhagen (Denmark).You are willing to travel within the cluster on a quarterly basis, mainly between Germany and the Nordics.Our commitment to integrity We care about diversity, inclusion, and equity in our recruitment processes. This role combines technical engineering with commercial acumen to secure new business opportunities.This is an hybrid role, with office days based in Camberley.Who you areAs a Sales Bid Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the preparation, coordination, and submission of technical and commercial bids for marine capital projects.You will collaborate closely with sales, engineering, procurement, and project management teams to ensure competitive, compliant, and compelling proposals that meet client requirements and company objectives.First and foremost, you are a team player with an agile mind, able to navigate complex challenges and work independently to find effective solutions. You thrive in collaborative environments but are equally comfortable taking initiative and driving tasks forward on your own.You are proudly environmentally aware and have a sustainable approach in reducing your personal and business impact on the environment.Key tasks:Bid Preparation & SubmissionAnalyse tender documents and customer requirements to develop compliant and compelling proposals.Prepare cost calculations, clarifications, and deviations for tenders.Ensure timely and accurate responses to customer enquiries.Draft and review quotation documentation and evaluate quotation texts.Technical & Commercial CoordinationCollaborate with Sales, Engineering, and Project Management teams to define scope, specifications, and deliverables.Lead technical negotiations with customers alongside the Sales Manager.Conduct engineering risk assessments (e.g., PSP – Project Sales Plan) and ensure contract reviews follow internal processes.Risk & Compliance ManagementIdentify and mitigate risks during bid preparation and execution phases.Ensure compliance with technical specifications, commercial requirements, and regulatory standards.Customer EngagementUnderstand customer drivers and tailor proposals to maximise value for both the client and the company.Participate in clarification meetings and negotiations with clients.Documentation & ReportingMaintain accurate records of bids, proposals, and related documentation.Provide regular updates and reports on bid status and performance metrics.Flexible in responding to changing client requirements and project scopes.Data AnalysisInterpret technical data, financial models, and market research to inform bid strategies.What you knowTo succeed in this position, you have:A high level of digital proficiency, not only with Microsoft Office programs, but also with other communication and collaboration tools; familiarity with tools like AutoCAD and CRM systems is a plus.Naval, Commercial or Merchant Marine industry knowledge or experience is an advantage, as is knowledge of equipment relevant to the marine industry.Technical expertise in engineering principles and systems.Cost estimation and risk assessment capabilities.Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
