Role Overview: Produce and develop mechanical designs from concept through to detailed design, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards. Prepare technical documents, calculations, schedules, and design reports. Work closely with civil, electrical, and process engineering disciplines to deliver fully coordinated designs. Support design reviews, HAZOPs, risk assessments, and value engineering activities. Provide technical support during construction, commissioning, and handover stages. Ensure all design work adheres to the highest health, safety, and environmental standards. About You: Degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent). Proven experience within the water, wastewater, or wider utilities sector. Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including pumps, valves, pipework, rotating equipment, and associated infrastructure. Proficient in relevant design software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, 3D modelling, calculation software). Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills. A proactive approach with a strong focus on quality and efficient delivery. CSCS / EUSR Water Hygiene desirable.
