    Let us tell you a bit about the opportunity:The Modelling team acts as the centre of excellence for all financial modelling and analytics within Aldermore’s Finance & Treasury division. Analytics and data science are core to the Group’s strategy, and this team are at the forefront of implementing these for stakeholders up to board level, as well as championing the culture of “staying curious” and utilising the latest technology.The team develops, implements, and validates various models that help determine the structure of the balance sheet. At the same time, the team also works on complicated financial models, in collaboration with Financial Controllers, Treasury Markets, Pricing etc.It is an enjoyable and exciting, ever-changing area to work in, and at the heart of Finance and the wider Group’s business.What will your day look like?Own and contribute to the full model lifecycle for Finance and Treasury models, from model selection and data analysis through build, validation, calibration and ongoing use.Develop and maintain financial models using Python, SAS, AI/ML and other appropriate techniques, including prepayment and deposit models.Analyse, cleanse and interpret financial data to support both model development and ad-hoc analytical requests.Validate and implement models across systems such as QRM, Anaplan and Excel, ensuring robust documentation, testing and governance.Act as a key modelling and data subject-matter expert, working closely with Treasury, Finance, Risk and business stakeholders.Participate in the Model Management Framework and support wider Finance initiatives, including executive analysis and regulatory processes (e.g. ICAAP, ILAAP).
    What do we expect from you?General experience includes:A high-level of expertise with quantitative financial models, in particular Treasury, Balance Sheet or Finance modelsUnderstanding and experience of the full model life-cycle: Selection, Development, Validation, Calibration, ImplementationData analysis experience and abilityWorking within Treasury/Risk/ALM/Analytics for a significant period of time, preferably at a retail bank/building societyTechnical Experience includes:Coding experience in a statistical language (Python, R, S+, SAS, etc.), preferably R and/or PythonImplementation of financial and/or behavioural models for ALM, Treasury, Accounting or Finance, preferably within QRM or AnaplanExcellent Excel and VBAGood understanding of data, statistics and applied financial and behavioural modellingData Science skillset - data-mining, visualisation (eg: Tableau), ML & AI, presenting, coding (SQL, Python, R, etc)

    Let us tell you a bit about the opportunity:Led by the Chief Internal Auditor, GIA helps the Group achieve its objectives by executing a disciplined risk-based approach to evaluate the effectiveness of the Group’s risk management, control and governance processes. As an independent function we make impartial, professional judgements based on the evidence we see and the information we are provided with. This allows us to help the business develop constructive recommendations to support the strengthening of the risk management, controls, and processes across the Group.The scope of internal auditing encompasses, but is not limited to, the examination and evaluation of the adequacy and effectiveness of the Group’s governance, risk management, and internal control processes in relation to the Group’s defined goals and objectives.What will your day look like?Develop an understanding of the Aldermore business and future changes and perform a risk assessment to produce audits for inclusion in the audit plan.Execution, support and delivery of audits in line with audit methodology and IIA standards and budgetHelp produce IA reports which are impactful, balanced and address the root cause of issues. Ensure recommendations are commercial and address the ongoing sustainability of the control environment.Ensure recommendations are followed up to closure and drive timely issue resolution and sustainability of implemented controls.Develop and maintain credibility and develop working relationships with key business stakeholders from team leader to director level.Stay abreast of internal change strategy and external audit best practice, particularly areas of regulatory focus.
    What do we expect from you?Experience of auditing in financial services/banking either in an external or internal audit capacity.Good working knowledge of audit methodologies including data analytics capability.Good working knowledge of UK regulation and key areas of regulatory focus from PRA and FCA.Self-motivated and proactive in approach, able to act independently and on own initiative.Excellent analytical, influencing, presentation and relationship building skills.DesirableProfessional Qualification (e.g. ACA / ACCA / IIA / CISA).
