Its in-house engineering capabilities include design, customisation, installation, flight-testing and certification, as well as technical support, maintenance, training and the supply of spares for civil and military applications. br /span span br /span span AHUK is the MoD rsquo;s chosen provider of helicopters and maintenance for its Defence Helicopter Flying School (referred to as MFTS) located in RAF Shawbury (Shropshire) and RAF Valley (Anglesey). br /span /p /div div h2 /h2 ul li PLEASE NOTE - It is AHUK policy to require all applicants to demonstrate they have the right to remain and to work in the UK. /li li Description/Overall purpose of the Job /li li UK Military Flying Training System (Rotary Wing) B2 Certifying Engineer, Shawbury /li /ul /div div h2 /h2 ul li The B2 Certifying Engineer is responsible for the certification of line, non-routine maintenance and repair on Airbus H135/H145 rotorcraft /li li Type training will be provided for a suitable candidate /li li The main responsibilities of the post holder will be: /li li Provide engineering operational support to Flight Operations /li li Accomplishment of maintenance inspections and repairs as directed by nominated LAE Supervisor /li li Work as a team leader and to high standards to ensure continued safe operation of the aircraft /li li Completion of maintenance, including avionic and electrical systems /li li Replacement of avionic line replaceable units, requiring simple tests to prove their serviceability /li li Supervision of avionic and electrical fitters and the certification of their work /li li Conduct off-aircraft avionic and electrical technical work in Av workshop as required /li li Also required to assist in day to day running of the aircraft Hangar, including aircraft movement and general housekeeping responsibilities /li li The post holder would ideally have the following Knowledge and Skills: /li li ESSENTIAL /li li Must have thorough knowledge of helicopter avionic and electrical systems /li li Knowledge of specialised test equipment relating to avionic and electrical systems /li li Must have up to date knowledge of : /li li CAA egulations, particularly Pt 145, Part M Continued Airworthiness Management (CAM) /li li Flight/Airport Operations /li li Aircraft Line Maintenance /li li DESIRABLE * /li li Knowledge of UK Military Aviation and UK MFTS /li li Experience with SAP and ERP software /li li We require the post holder to have the following Education, Qualifications or special training: /li li ESSENTIAL /li li CAA Part 66 B2 Licence /li li DESIRABLE * /li li Type Rating and experience H135 /li li The post holder should have the following experience: /li li ESSENTIAL /li li Experience of Flight Operations and Line Maintenance /li li DESIRABLE * /li li Experience of Airbus Helicopters products /li li Experience of Military Aviation /li li 3 years experience in a certifying role /li li Key performance indicators: /li li Maintain aircraft availability levels of gt;98% at Shawbury (including deployments) /li li Other requirements : /li li TRAVEL * /li li Required to work shifts as part of normal working routine /li li Required travel between Shawbury, Valley and areas dictated by Operational requirements (Deployments on a 3 weekly cycle) /li li The Reward: * /li /ul /div div h2 /h2 p span In joining the Airbus family, you will play a critical part in delivering the most efficient helicopters for its customers, who serve, protect, save lives and carry passengers in demanding environments.
