Job objectives and responsibilities
No previous EV installation experience required as internal training is provided by Aero EV on commencement of your employment. As a domestic charge point installer, you will carry out installations, maintenances, and repairs of electric vehicle chargers each day.
Main duties
Undertake EV installations.
Work to electrical drawings e.g., installation, circuit diagrams and line schematics.
Complete the necessary paperwork/electronic job forms and certification to ensure our customer receives data in a timely manner.
Good working knowledge of Health & Safety legislation.
Undertake additional duties as instructed by the Project Manager where required.
Conduct site visits to ensure all pre-installation requirements are met and to submit site surveys to the relevant project manager.
Work as a team member during installations, ensuring efficient, safe, and quality work with adherence to Aero EV Solutions Ltd high standard of installation, best practice, and regulatory requirements.
Person Specification
Full UK driving licence.
Knowledge of EV charging units
Preferred EV Installation Experience
Testing and inspection experience or relating qualification.
Ability to manage and take ownership of conflicting priorities under pressure.
Self-motivated with the ability to work alone.
Good attention to detail
Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
Good planning and organisational skill.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to effectively prioritise own workload.
Good working knowledge of Health & Safety legislation
Strong customer care focus
Adapt to technical changes within the industry and attend training courses should they be required.
To understand and complete all work-related documentation accurately and on time.
To understand and comply with policies and procedures.
To be responsible for company vehicle and all materials on board.
Person Qualifications accepted:
NVQ Level 3 in electrotechnical installations such as C&G 2365 Level 3 or 2330 or equivalent
Level 3 Award in the Requirements for Electrical Installations BS: 7671:2018
Level 3 Award in Domestic Vehicle Charging Equipment Installation C&G 2919
EAL VRQ Domestic Installer or City & Guilds Level 2 (or similar)
17th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
Fully qualified 18th Edition IEE regulations
2383-th Edition Update
2391-52 Test and Inspection (Desirable)
