    Claims Engineers technical experts for claims damage estimate reviews and queries, they investigate and review Estimates, customer images and repair methods in an effective and efficient manner to determine repair safety and costs controls for our customers. The Claims Engineer will be responsible for their own workloads to ensure we are getting back to repairers or frontline claims teams in a timely manner and the remit is to ensure we maintain a high level of repair safety and maintain a good average repair cost. The claims Engineer will be required to work across multiple brands, products and functions dealing with all types of estimates including approved networks, non-approved networks, and retrospective audits of repairs. Main Functions: To be a subject matter expert for claims engineering department. Ensuring we follow the standards below: Estimates are assessed to determine good outcomes are reached for customers and suppliers. Ensure all referrals have been identified such as unrelated damage or modifications. Complete all allocated training to remain up to date with the latest technology, repair methods and FCA regulations for working within claims. Be aware of and take action to mitigate supplier risks and protect the business from exposure to risk by reporting to your management team. Be a point of reference for the engineering team Work as directed by the Claims Engineering Manager and Senior Ensure efficient and effective management of workloads & Daily allocation of work.     You will require the following skills: Associate IAEA qualification (or working toward) is essential. AQP Qualification is essential. Evidence understanding of business requirements and delivery. As the volume, speed, and variety of data continue to grow, high‑quality data and insight are essential for delivering meaningful reporting. We are seeking a Data Manager to oversee the delivery of data, reporting, and insights that support the Pet function. Partnering closely with Pricing and wider teams in Pet and Data, you will be responsible for collating, transforming, and analysing data, ensuring accuracy and reliability across all reporting. As a small but expanding team, this management role also involves hands‑on work, and requires a collaborative, proactive approach. Main Duties Lead and manage a team of data analysts responsible for data ingestion, analysis, and quality oversight. Oversee the creation and maintenance of core datasets used by the Pricing team. Design and deliver insightful reporting tailored to stakeholder needs, including Pricing, Claims, and Underwriting. Manage the development and upkeep of dashboards to monitor MI and performance across multiple business areas, including regulatory reporting such as Fair Value Assessments. Contribute to enhancing MI and reporting tools to support growing data volumes and ensure efficient, accurate insight delivery. Take ownership of resolving data quality issues, performing root‑cause analysis, and assessing wider business impacts. Present findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders, including Pet leadership and the Pet Director. Build and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues across Pet and data functions, particularly Pet Data Analysts in the PaTH team, promoting best practice and shared objectives. Establish and chair a data forum to support alignment and collaboration across teams. Lead the ongoing development of MI and pricing tools, along with the underlying architecture required to produce high‑quality reporting at scale. Define requirements for integrating new data sources or external datasets into Pet’s reporting processes. Create and/or maintain a comprehensive data definitions library to support consistency and clarity across the business. Carry out any additional duties as assigned by the Head of Pet Pricing, Data and Analytics. Key Skills, Qualifications and Experience Strong experience in a pricing, data, or related analytical role Previous people management experience. Strong data analysis skills using tools such as SAS, BigQuery or SQL. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities across various stakeholders. Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal, tailored to different audiences. High numerical capability with a structured, methodical approach to problem‑solving.
