This is a rare and exciting opportunity to step into a key leadership role at a pivotal stage of growth. Our Travel business is expanding rapidly, pricing approaches are becoming increasingly sophisticated, and the team is growing both in size and expertise. This role follows a hybrid model, with a requirement to be in our Cardiff office once a week. /n At Admiral, Pricing has always been a fundamental cornerstone of our success. While the wider travel industry remains relatively simple in its pricing approach, often relying on basic tools and limited data, we have a unique opportunity to lead the way. By leveraging Admiral’s group-wide pricing capabilities, we aim to build more advanced, data-driven pricing strategies and create a sustainable competitive advantage. /n We’re looking for an ambitious and forward-thinking pricing leader who is passionate about challenging the status quo within the travel insurance space. You’ll lead one of our key pricing pillars, managing a team of analysts while shaping rating structures, exploring new data sources, strengthening controls, and driving innovation across pricing. /n Key Responsibilities /n /n - Lead and continuously enhance pricing and rating structures to improve performance /n - Drive competitive advantage through smarter rate change management, data use and risk selection /n - Identify and deliver strategic pricing opportunities to support sustainable growth /n - Use modelling and market insights to inform pricing decisions and forecast impact /n - Analyse large loss trends and embed insights into pricing strategy /n - Ensure pricing decisions meet regulatory requirements, including fair pricing practices /n - Oversee end-to-end rate changes, ensuring accurate implementation and strong governance /n - Improve data quality and insight to support better decision-making /n - Coordinate prioritisation, delivery and monitoring of pricing changes /n - Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment and effective delivery /n - Lead, coach and develop a high-performing pricing team /n /n Experience & Skills /n /n - Proven leadership experience within Insurance Pricing, demonstrated experience /n - Strong communication and stakeholder management skills /n - Ability to manage workload effectively for both yourself and your team, delivering high-quality outputs /n - Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment /n - Strong analytical and numerical skills with excellent attention to detail /n - Experience building business cases and evaluating pricing strategies /n - Degree (2:1 or above) in a numerate subject (e.g. Mathematics, Engineering, Economics) /n - Experience with programming tools such as SAS, SQL, BigQuery or similar (training provided) /n - Self-motivated with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset /n /n Essential Criteria /n /n - Proven experience Insurance Pricing, including development and optimisation of pricing or rating structures /n - Proven leadership experience, managing and developing pricing teams /n - Strong analytical capability, with experience using data, modelling and insight to drive pricing decisions /n - Experience with pricing tools and programming languages (e.g. SAS, SQL, BigQuery) and a numerate degree (2:1 or above) /n /n This is not an exhaustive list, but it highlights the key responsibilities and what success in this role looks like. /n Admiral: Where You Can /n We take pride in being a diverse and inclusive business. This team manages services for the entirety of the workforce, promoting the tools we manage and providing support across the business.
