It requires proven capability in APQP, PFMEA, Control Plans and SOP development, as well as strong experience in the design, control and management of tooling, fixtures and jigs. The role also involves troubleshooting process issues, analysing manufacturing data and applying standard engineering tools such as VSM, Yamazumi, MOST time studies and SPC.In addition to driving technical improvement, the role plays a key leadership function by training others in best-practice industrialisation methods, supporting new product introductions and coaching less experienced engineers. The position requires someone confident in leading, influencing and deputising for the Production Engineering Manager when required.
