     About Glan Y Felin:Just off the main road in Rhyd Y Fro, a small village just outside Pontardawe. The home supports 7 Gentlemen with a variety of needs including brain injury, autism and learning disability. We offer a calm environment that supports people to maintain intendant living skills such as cooking and cleaning some may require more help than others at times.Glan Y Felin is a lovely place to work with long serving knowledgeable staff. The individuals like to go out into the community to do various things like visiting local pub, trips to Cardiff/Swansea, attending football matches, cinema, bowling, coffees and eating out.
    As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will be involved in the day to day support and routine of the people within the service including:Day-to-day support and routine of the people we support.Prompting independence whilst helping them live a fulfilling life.Supporting & encouraging the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests.Maintaining and helping with health care needs, including accompanying the people we support to routine appointments or administrating medication.Teaching life skills such as budgeting, paying bills & shopping.Assisting with personal care as required.Assisting with domestic tasks including cleaning & cooking.Providing guidance & encouragement through physical & emotional support.
