    Job Purpose:As a key member of the Production & Logistics Support Team, the Warehouse Operative is responsible for the safe, accurate, and compliant handling of materials, components, spares, and support equipment.The role ensures that all goods are received, stored, controlled, and issued in line with quality, safety, and regulatory requirements to support production and operational activities.This is a hands-on warehouse role requiring strong attention to detail, accurate record keeping, and adherence to aerospace and health & safety standards.

    Key Responsibilities:Warehouse Operations·       Receive, inspect, and book in all materials, components, tools, and equipment, ensuring correct quantity, condition, and documentation.·       Store all items in accordance with OEM requirements, quality standards, and aerospace regulations.·       Pick, kit, pack, and issue parts and materials in line with production schedules and internal requests.·       Manage goods-in and goods-out activities, ensuring traceability and accurate physical movement of stock.·       Carry out manual handling activities safely and in line with training and risk assessments.·       Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet trucks and other material handling equipment (training provided where required).Inventory Control·       Maintain accurate inventory records within the warehouse management system (Dynamics 365 or equivalent).·       Perform regular stock checks, cycle counts, and periodic audits to ensure stock accuracy.·       Monitor stock levels, shelf life, and condition of parts and consumables, escalating shortages or issues as required.·       Maintain full traceability of parts, including serial numbers, batch numbers, and certification where applicable.·       Assist with the transfer, reconciliation, and validation of legacy stock data into current systems.Quality, Safety & Compliance·       Ensure all goods received meet quality, certification, and documentation requirements.·       Handle ESD‑sensitive components in accordance with ESD control procedures.·       Maintain accurate records of delivery notes and compliance documentation.·       Ensure warehouse areas remain clean, organised, and compliant with health & safety standards.·       Apply Dangerous Goods Awareness and safe storage practices at all times.·       Support internal and external audits by providing accurate records and physical stock verification.·       Work closely with Quality and Purchasing teams to resolve discrepancies or non‑conformances. Experience & Qualifications:·       Proven experience of working in a warehouse environment, ideally involving high‑value or regulated goods.·       Experience in goods receiving, storage, picking, and stock control.·       Strong understanding of warehouse health & safety requirements.·       Experience using inventory or warehouse management systems (MS Dynamics 365)·       High level of attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records.·       Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely.·       Strong teamwork skills with the ability to follow procedures and instructions precisely.Desirable·       Experience in aerospace, aviation, manufacturing, or bonded warehouse environments.·       Knowledge of ESD and DG handling requirements.·       Understanding of export control or dual‑use controlled goods.·       Forklift or other material handling equipment licences.·       COSHH, Manual Handling training.·       Intermediate IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications. At AALTO, we offer an exceptional work environment that values your well-being and rewards your dedication. Review work instructions for technical accuracy and compliance with quality standards; reject and support correction of errors where necessary. Assess drawings in support of work instruction reviews. Verify quality coverage in work instructions using QVP (and KIP, if applicable); assist in correcting deficiencies.
