Full training will be provided for successful candidates.Qualifications & Experience… Understanding of the Harry Potter film series and filmmaking.Previous work experience in a customer/visitor facing role, where a strong emphasis was placed on quality of service and/or experience. Previous work on-stage is desirable.Presentation skills – enthusiasm and ability to speak in public to groups of up to 300 on a microphone. Both scripted elements and improvisation required.Demonstrable ability to learn new skills and adapt to new situations within a visitor focused environment.Able to contribute positively and enjoy working effectively as part of a large and varied team.Working Pattern… You will be required to work both Saturday and Sunday with an 8 hour shift on each day.Your normal hours of work are between 8am and 10pm over the peak summer period/weekends, and from 8am until 8pm at other times, though some evening event work (finishing at 00:30) is required for events. Shifts outside of these hours can be opted into, and these hours can start as early as 7am.We provide a free shuttle bus from Watford Junction; however this cannot be relied on if your start/finish time falls outside of our opening hours, therefore you must ensure that you are able to arrange your own travel arrangements to/from work on these occasions.Business Overview… Warner Bros. Studio Tour - The Making Of Harry Potter.The role has frontline Duty Technician responsibilities as and when required in response to the day-to-day technical needs of the attraction. You will also be required to provide the highest levels of customer service to visitors to the attraction and internal customers.This is a twelve-month fixed term contract position.Your Role Accountabilities...Setup, operate, maintain, troubleshoot and control all aspects of industry leading show technology including lighting, sound, video, show control and integrated systems to ensure consistent visitor experienceEnsure all WBSTL technical and exhibition related maintenance requirements are delivered within agreed schedules and standards.Assist with the delivery of live events as and when required.Ensure public and staff safety at all times.Monitor protection of assets and equipment within the tour areas in order to maintain the level of quality, reliability and maximise life span.Comply with internal health and safety regulations and working practices at all times.Maintain good communication channels across all departments including Visitor Experience, Studio Facilities and Corporate Archive.Work as part of a technical project team for themed feature development, installation and maintenance projects as directed by the Technical Services Management team.Contribute to the day-to-day running of the WBSTL and form part of the Visitor Services team covering weekends, evenings and school holidays 363 days a year on a shift pattern involving AM and PM shifts.Qualifications & Experiences...Proven track record in a similar maintenance position, preferably in the entertainment, visitor attraction or service industry.Knowledge of live event production and the relevant audio-visual skills involved in the delivery of such events.Experience of working with installed audio-visual show systems and fault finding and trouble shooting on these as required.Basic carpentry and maintenance skills and a good working knowledge of workshop environments.Previous experience of working in an operational and customer facing environment where there are significant numbers of the general public on site.Proven IT skills with a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office and associated packages.Basic knowledge of I.T switch networks and I.P based control systems.Working PatternThis is a full-time position, averaging 40 hours per week. The role operates on a flexible rota, including a mix of early, mid, and late shifts. Shift times range from 6:30 AM (earliest start) to 10:45 PM (latest finish).
