    Role OverviewThis is a Vice President (VP) role within the Markets Operations Organization, specifically within the Equity Derivative Middle Office. The primary objective is to enhance Risk infrastructure, optimize static and security representation, and ensure accurate and timely risk capture across Equity platforms. This specialized function requires in-depth knowledge of Corporate Action processes, including risk adjustments for complex derivatives portfolios and market data connectivity.The role involves project management of systemic limitations, collaborating with Product Development and Technology teams to drive and deliver the firm's Lifecycle automation program. This is a unique opportunity to join a new global team that will significantly impact efficiency and process improvement.You will contribute innovative ideas and work on projects to improve processes and workflows, minimizing losses from internal failures, inadequate controls, and emerging risks to better serve clients.What you'll doProvide comprehensive support to Equities Trading Desks across a full suite of Equity and Cross-Asset products (Securities, Cash, Derivatives, FX, Rates, CDS, Hybrids).Process Corporate Actions, including risk adjustments and stock bookings on Ex-Date for the Trading floor.Lead Corporate Action book management and automation projects, including designing new workflows and ensuring seamless connectivity with Back Office systems (, Aspen).Oversee and manage responses to internal and external client requests, particularly those aimed at improving lifecycle workflows.Bridge knowledge gaps between Front Office trading, Technology, Operational processing, and Middle Office functions, demonstrating a clear understanding of inter-team coordination and contribution to overall business objectives.Contribute to the development and implementation of new techniques and processes within the functional area.Evaluate complex issues with significant potential impact, developing effective solutions.Lead ad hoc projects and implement interim controls to address gaps, including Fixings, Dividends, Corporate Actions, Cashflow, and Quant model integration.Ensure business decisions are made with appropriate risk assessment, upholding the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, clients, and assets. This includes driving compliance with laws and regulations, adhering to policies, exercising sound ethical judgment, and transparently escalating and managing control issues.Provide input into initiatives focused on continuous improvement of Straight Through Processing (STP) rates, leveraging robotics, workflow automation, and other re-engineering techniques.What we need from youProven experience in a related financial services role.Demonstrated experience with Trade Bookings, Front-to-Back trade flows, Trade Support, or Middle Office functions.Knowledge of Derivative workflows, including Listed Securities, OTCs, and Structured Notes, is highly desired.Critical knowledge of Corporate Action Processing.IT background is beneficial, especially with Front Office risk platform support and SQL skills.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment such as Front Office, Middle Office, or Risk Support.Strong project management and delivery skills.Capability to work under pressure and consistently meet deadlines.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Meticulous attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.Mindset geared towards process improvement and efficiency.Solid understanding of systems and technology platforms.Expert proficiency in Excel and strong coding skills (VBA, SQL) for data analysis and process automation.What we can offer youWe work hard to have a positive financial and social impact on the communities we serve.
