As a Full Stack GIS Developer at Informed Solutions, you’ll play a key role in shaping, building, and delivering innovative digital solutions that solve complex challenges in the public sector. You will: Deliver high-quality solutions: Design, build, and continually improve software, infrastructure, and deployment pipelines for public and private sector clients, ensuring robustness and scalability. Projects may also include solutions with geospatial data, GIS platforms, and open-source mapping technologies. Collaborate across disciplines: Work closely with Senior and Lead Engineers, Delivery Managers, and colleagues in User-Centred Design and Data Science to shape designs, contribute to documentation, and deliver against agreed plans. Ensure standards and best practice: Follow established approaches, provide accurate technical estimates, and escalate risks or issues where required. Communicate and build relationships: Present prototypes, solutions, and progress updates clearly to stakeholders, while building strong, collaborative relationships with colleagues, clients, and partner organisations.Essential Skills 3+ years’ proven experience in a Full Stack Engineering role, with strong skills in .NET, Java or Python, plus modern JavaScript libraries. A collaborative mindset with experience working in multi-disciplinary teams. Strong understanding of architectural and design patterns, including serverless and microservices.Hands-on experience working in Agile environments, using Scrum, Kanban and test-driven development (TDD).Experience with cloud platforms, ideally AWS or Azure, to design and deliver scalable solutions.Experience working with GIS systems or geospatial data, and familiarity with open-source mapping tools (e.g. Leaflet, OpenLayers, QGIS, GeoServer, PostGIS).
